Coinsweeper

This game would hit a highschool gaming website like cocaine in the 80's. the core mechanics are addictive, and is overall a great take to shake up minesweeper as a game, however the abilities do need some work. the game would be much more engaging long-term with more complex or diverse abilities, possibly with synergy. in short, it can very much be improved upon but the core gameplay has too much potential to warrant a negative review.

Basic concept that is well executed, addictive, and a ton of fun! Tried the demo during a next fest and got absolutely hooked!

unlike other minesweeper roguelike games like [b]Demoncrawl[/b] or [b]Minato[/b], it becomes overwhelmingly obvious that the dev team has [u]absolutely no clue what the appeal of Minesweeper actually is[/u], let alone what makes other roguelite games like [b]Balatro[/b] tick. with milquetoast items that all do one of three effects, and gameplay that plays out the exact same, every game, i have to question if there was even any human input into the design, or if they had their AI agent Bezi generate that too (along with the rest of the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game! they boast about using AI to make the game in an interview) there isn't even any quality of life; passive effects are sluggish and prevent you from interacting, 0s don't auto-clear, there isn't chording... who is this game *for*? people who are hopelessly addicted to gambling sites? because it isn't for people who like Minesweeper or Balatro-- they think Minesweeper players are stupid and love banality, and they think Balatro players are satisfied with "occasionally there is a coin flip?" absolutely ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ abysmal experience

Good concept, and many good things about the implementation, but the game balance is a little shallow, and it has one too many bugs. Could become a yes vote if improvements are made.

Awesome game. Very fun to play for a short period if you are on a time crunch! Great game to just put on a podcast and zone out to. Highly recommend!
