Cavesweeper

Don't let the description fool you! This is all Minesweeper, requiring guess after guess (including the first square of *every* puzzle), and not a bit like the logic-driven Picross or Sudoku. Also, key interface items are never explained and the game displays in a teeny tiny window with no way to run it full-screen.

It's a minesweeper game that runs at a super low resolution and gets old after your first run. It looks like it took less than a week to make. It won't stay on your hard-drive longer than 30 minutes.

Things that confused me; The tutorial, as I wasn't thinking Minsweeper, even though it states in the blurb that it's part minesweeper... (you see, I'm a bit of a moron, reading's not my type of a thing apparently...) The "gold digging" giving you ten tries, I thought it meant ten "clicks" but you get to miss gold ten times, every time you strike gold it doesn't count. Me thinking about anything, that always confuses me...which has nothing to do with the game... The game, what is it? It is what it says in the blurb, basically minsweeper but with different colour mixed in to both make it harder but also easier du to knowing 0 means 4 squares around this has 0 of this colour - which makes all the surrounding being of the other colour...unless you have three colours to choose from. (unlike minesweeper this game doesn't care about diagonals, no "block" can ever show more than 4 surrounding of the same colour) You also get some items like healing potions, you encounter some gambling along the way (click heads or tails when the graphic shows the one you're clicking) and people selling you useful items. This is a very nice casual type of game, I don't have any form of a major complaint …

stylistically very cool but the actual gameplay is too reliant on RNG. the brief moments where you can actually apply logic are lovely and you can very clearly see something special here that would eventually be evolved in tess elated and jubilane. would love to see a sequel to this that fixes up the RNG stuff tbh

Logik And Puzzels

I've played the mobile version of this game before and this version is every bit as good! The game itself is a twist on the minesweeper concept. The number and color of a tile on the grid gives you an indication of the color of the adjacent tiles and it is your job to figure them out correctly. This basic game mechanic is wrapped in a dungeon crawler aesthetic, where every board you must solve is actually a battle you're having with some kind of enemy. Mistakes you make are interpreted as the damage you're taking in the battle. This gives a surprising amount of motivation to keep on playing and progressing to see what new things the game has in store.
