Colorful Colore

Fun little puzzle game! Quick and not too tough but still enjoyable, some of the later puzzles rely on some minor trial and error but they're all really fast to redo so it's not that big a deal.

This is not a clear non-recommendation, but more of a meh one. Play the developer's "[url=https://store.steampowered.com/app/2052680/]Colorful Recolor[/url]" instead. There's a clever puzzle idea here, but the implementation is lacking, this is one of this developer's earliest games and it shows, from weak programming practices to visual design, to level design... Controller handling is weird for example, in the menu selection screen you can't even select all the levels, there's a 14x5 grid for the 70 levels, but you can only select the leftmost 10x5 with your controller, because it used to be 50 levels, they probably hard-coded that and never updated it. A lot of levels feel like you either need to stumble upon the solution because they are to hard to track, others are obvious the minute you look at them but then are just tedious to solve by just needing a lot of moves, AND there's no undo! One wrong/miscalculated move even if you haven't lost yet and you need to repeat the whole level. It's not a [i]bad[/i] game, I didn't refund it, I completed it just fine, but half of the time it's not really fun either. On the contrary, its spiritual successor "Colorful Recolor" is just fan…

I thoroughly enjoyed [i]Colorful Colore[/i] from start to finish. There is a good spread of difficulty from level to level so the later levels never feel like a slog. The game looks amazing, the movement is fun and tunes are catchy. 10 /10 😊

A simple puzzle game with a simple premise and a wonderful OST. It's an earworm that'll stick with you long after you finish the game.
