Some of these positive reviews seem a bit "suspicious" but we'll leave it at that. The game isn't remotely difficult, it's a very basic process of elimination maze with switches/teleporters and fancy skin thrown on top. In 35 minutes I "solved" exactly 35 puzzles, which means your expected playtime is under an hour. It also means there isn't much solving to do. 95% of my playtime was just walking from point a to point b, not actually thinking about much of anything. There are no "aha" moments, its just slow tedious walking, stopping for a second to do some basic "connect the dots" logic, and then more slow walking. The animations and visuals are nice, but thats about it. And while it's nice, theres no variation whatsoever, its the same visuals for the entire game. Not to mention over half of the levels in the game are zoomed out way farther than they need to be. Not much else to say, there's just nothing here. Go buy/play a different puzzle game, don't be fooled by the reviews and the seemingly polished visuals.

Quite a lot of content for its small price, definitely worth the purchase! Great for people who like tough logical puzzles where every choice matters, as well as the order of execution. The art direction is great, the game has some lovely pixel art sprites and animations, and everything is vibrant without being distracting or confusing. Music is also very groovy! Only downside was that a lot of puzzles rely on misdirection and red herrings, and that the player movement is a bit stilted when it comes to collisions and clear navigation.

Dungeon Color is a 2D retro pixel top down maze/pathing puzzle game where you control a retro pixel blob and find the right path to the exit for each level by collecting different "colours" to unlock matching colour doors. That's all there is to it. Dungeon Color has nothing to do with RPGs or dungeon crawling, it's probable they couldn't only find a retro pixel dungeon tileset to flip when making the game, so that's kind of lame. Not everything has to be a "dungeon". I couldn't see this on the mobile app stores but it seems more suited to mobile apps that being a serious PC game, as the shallow gameplay lacks sufficient depth that this would be recommendable to any serious PC gaming enthusiast. It was slapped together with the godawful GameMaker Studio video game construction kit from Yoyogames, which can explain some of the poor quality issues. GameMaker Studio is a very poor quality game construction kit, and unsurprisingly results in products that have little to no value as games, especially when compared to the work of professional developers who create genuine products for gamers. Using a video game construction kit requires little to no talent or skill as a game deve…

Took me 102 minutes to finish the game, it was an amazing experience. Every 10 levels you get something new with a tutorial as the first level and it gets kinda tricky at level 35+. I would reccomend purchasing this game and finishing it in under 2 hours.

Nice, cheap and short 2-to-3 hours puzzle game. It has pretty good pixel animation especially for the "candle" character and the end/start of each level. The music track is relaxing enough to not be annoying but too much to be sleepy. Regarding the puzzles themselves, they start off quite easy but become increasingly difficult with each mechanic added. Those last ones were surprisingly challenging though not impossible. My only gripe would have to be the mandatory WASD keys for movement. I'm not left handed so my precision with these isn't the best. So when in some sections it was required to get around a certain "switch" that led me to unnecessary retries. I'd rather have the option to change it to the arrow keys in such cases.
