I decided to check this out in my quest to find that nostalgig feeling that i had lost long ago.. and long and behold.. this game was the wrong choise for that. This version of combat arms is a weird mongoloid brainchild with ideas, designs and elements that could only be described coming from fortnite. First game put me a bit puzzled, is there a cheater problem in this game, but with closer look the ultra quickly moving opponents were not speed hacking, but using some sort of pay to win elements increasing their movement speed and b-hopping all over the place as movement, like its nothing weird at all. F2P experience was quite horrible. The game tries to bring you on your feet at the start with its weird flashy weapon gifts that you cannot upgrade, they are not yours and cannot ever compare to the fully upgraded "toy guns" that your opponents have. I can understand somebody enjoying grinding a gaming experience like this but that was not my cup of tea. Up next is Counter Strike "classic".. if i find my nostalgia pill from there.

The massive weapon selection and fast matches still have some old-school FPS appeal, but the game feels noticeably dated compared with modern shooters. There is plenty to unlock and shoot, yet nostalgia can only carry the experience so far.
