About Costly Adventure
Costly Adventure blends a casual Match-3 game with roguelite elements. Instead of geometric shapes, the player matches the party members to perform attacks. Through talent choices each character can contribute to the battle in their own way. Choose from 4 specializations and make your own build by picking talents and itemization.
Going on an adventure to find a mighty artifact is a lot of fun but it is also a costly activity. Especially with Troll guarding every single bridge and demanding payment. The further you go, the more expensive it gets. Luckily, you can beat the gold out of the plenty treasure chests that are laying around. But beware, you are in a strange world and not all chests are just going to sit there and take the beating.

It's a match-3 that has a lightweight, badly done "RPG" aspect stuck on with library paste. What do you do in the game? You play Candy Crush but with phoned in pixelcrap "art", and get annoyed by the bolted on "gold" transaction system that gates ongoing rounds of Candy Crush. So, this features really godawful pixelcrap "art" instead of real graphics. It's hard to say if this was because the developer didn't have the skill to do the job of creating 3D visuals, or couldn't afford to hire someone who does, but it also doesn't matter. What matters is that this looks much worse than most other games because of that decision, and that's a major deterrent to gamers. Games like Terraria and Stardew Valley succeeded despite the bad graphics, not because of them. I think we should give the "developer" the benefit of the doubt and assume the pixel characters aren't flipped stock assets. The developer chose not to do the job of a real game developer and create meaningful bespoke levels, narrative based gameplay progression and …3 found this helpful
