Honestly, I really enjoy the concept, but there's something about this game that doesn't really seem to enjoy me playing it either, so this sits at a solid 4/10 for me. It's great exercise (if you have some method of counting calories burnt besides the arbitrary in-game numbers they throw at you), but this isn't like Creed or Thrill of the Fight where the effort you put in directly impacts your ability to succeed. Sometimes things just refuse to work as intended, and in others, RNG holds an attempt hostage by throwing obstacles in your way at the worst possible times. I can put my all into this game and it just doesn't seem to reward it with how finnicky the tracking can be, or how unforgiving the game's requirements for each target can be. I block and it doesn't count. I punch and it doesn't count. With no regard for how scrunched up and bent I might be from avoiding the sheer number of blades each level sends my way, it can be like none of the moves count if you aren't standing up perfectly straight and doing each of them incredibly slowly. Sometimes one movement will work for something, and the next it won't. I could punch directly on the center at the exact right moment…

Overall this game is a solid experience. Its a lot of fun to play and it keeps surprising you. Unlike a lot of other vr fighting games this one really has you think about positioning. It might not burn the most calories per hour compared to some others but it by far rewards you for observing what is happening around you and reacting to it quickly and well. Once you add in the modifiers that you can do with each level the game gets way more interesting. I think most people can go into the game and have a ton of fun. Overall its a solid recommend with some room for improvement. For example: I love the Mods you can add to the levels but would love to customize speed even further than just faster. It might be really complicated to figure out how to score the points on a sliding scale like that, but sometimes it would be nice to crank up the speed even more, or slow it down a lot to see how the level works and make the practice more thoughtful. Also one thing that I think really holds it back for me is blocking. Since there is no way to track the elbows sometimes I block and its slightly off from where my actual forearm is. I want to say "yes" and "no". Would I ultimately recommend this game to someone? It genuinely depends on a *lot*. I tried this game on both Steam and Viveport. I demanded a refund from Viveport, which is herculean to get. Viveport issues - it's built to suck. You can't change your skintone (you can in the Steam version), so you're stuck with January 6 White. You can't really change many settings, it's just a ripoff. Steam - I remember when the game sucked even more, then there were updates. Now it sucks a bit less. I can pick much closer to my accurate skintone, which is important to me. I also know actual Wing Chun and have trained in it for about a decade and some years. This game would NOT replace a sifu or ANY training whatsoever. The wooden dummy is wonky, the hits do not translate well for Wing Chun style strikes (not everything is with the fist and some strikes are also grapple movements). Anyone who thinks this game can teach them a martial art style is kidding themselves and big time. I thought if I got a better headset (prev: Windows Dell MR, now: Vive XR Elite), the game would get better. Some bits did, like the tracking but that's my hardware. The game overa…
