This game is extremely hard, yet incredibly satisfying when you manage to save the Union or make the US fall. At first, I barely survived the first years, and even now I have to play on easier difficulties, but I can finally survive until 2000. The only problem is the economy system, as it can still cause a nosedive from nowhere, but the rest of it is really polished and realistic. The best part about it is how much you can change. The paths aren't limited to just preserving the union or collapsing it, but you can also make the USSR a consociationalist capitalist democracy, a totalitarian dictatorship, a reactionary monarchy, or upkeep the status quo - the choice is yours. You can even make your country a soviet monarchy or ascend the throne continuing an ancient bloodline. Overall, this is probably the second best spent 8$ of my life(HoI4 was my best purchase), and this game is one of my favorites. If you think about buying it, simply buy it! You can always refund it, but I doubt you will.4 found this helpful
How To Play: 1. Adjust yourself to the game and set budget 2. Economy goes up and you're happy 3. GDP is soaring and things can't get better 4. Budget suddenly plummets and your sinking into debt 5. All the state departments start to hate you because of the economy 6. You get an "oh ♥♥♥♥" moment when the Republics start demanding more rights 7. Either get an economic collapse or the republics secede 8. Rage quit 9. Come back and try another strategy 10. Repeat from 1 10/10 most fun I've had in a while :)2 found this helpful

Its as hard and unpredictable as everyone says, but that just makes it even more satisfying when you actually win. This is a phenomenal political simulator that should be in the same conversation as Suzerain, Red Autumn: SPD, and the big hoi4 mods1 found this helpful
There is a lot of confusion on how everything works even after numerous updates addressing that. But neither did Kremlin know how their nation worked.1 found this helpful
