Played the demo, bought the EA game, based on this being a survival game. It is possibly in the loosest of terms. More exploration and puzzler that Survival. Did not enjoy the EA release at all. Came back to it after the Major update. Now it is worse, the graphics are...Chalky for lack of a better term. Game opening is now forced and resources are very limited. Now areas are gated and if you do not do things as the specifically tell you then you will end up without the resources to advance and I guess wait for them to regrow, however long that will take, I did not wait. I hate the inventory/hand management but would live with it if there was enough of a game to interest me. As it stands I will wait a few months to see if it progresses more to my taste. I HATE leaving a negative review on an Early access game but I am not seeing this game progress. And being labled as a survival crafting game is very misleading.

So they did just announce a rework, and I'll keep this in mind and amend this review when I play it again. As it stands, pre-rework, it almost plays like a proof of concept? Cons: * There are very few plants * You don't scan anything save for the edible plants and the animals? But what's the point of scanning the animals? * There isn't much of a guide or tutorial so I can see people getting lost very easily * I understand this is an alien, but most sentient creatures would go crazy without someone to talk to. So having a ship computer to chat with would be nice? * Game occasionally glitches out and you hear your alien heavy breathing until you reset..... ew * This is a big one for me.....so all caps..... WHY IS WATERING AND GATHERING WATER LINKED TO YOUR ENERGY? You may as well skip the gardening because your energy is gone.... * Most survival games do allow for some crafting....Oh, there is crafting? Where? I played for a couple of hours and couldn't craft or build a house or anything. Am I asking too much? Maybe.... But I was hoping for a little scientific alien game. * Puzzles strike me as a bit Zelda-ish, which is fine but they feel out of place? Maybe the game…

Was super excited to play this game but I am somewhat dissapointed. I like games with puzzles but this one is tough to figure out. It seems like you are never given enough information to figure out what you are trying to do. It just says find ingredients with nothing pointing you to what the ingredients are.

Before they made changes the game was fun, Even with the changes I believe the game can be fun, however they broke many aspects of the game when they made their changes. Unable to water your plants, First Gold idol head missing, When any new changes are done to the game it resets your own saved progress. Such as doing the orb puzzles for your ships energy. I had it half way filled and it is back down to the first orb puzzle. When you have energy in your scanner it may not scan or the light from it will not turn on. I have also had to do a new game about 5 times now due to not being able to progress because the game thinks I am further behind than I am, every time they change anything it cause an issue with a previously saved game. I am quite disappointed. I am going to wait a while before attempting to play again.

This game does'nt explain you anything about the world what to do. and your GUI, you have to learn by experimenting. I'm not against it. But somehow the game mut explain how control work, what status bar do, What is dangerouse. When you die there is a death penalty impose. What does it do? I don't know. In the early stage you follow a series of way point and then you have to understand what to do. Some scanner require you to hold the binding key (F) sometime you can just push it. The the way point stopped when it telle you to find a solution. If you explore you will die (I think it's about your energy) but it does'nt telle you how energy work and why you need it and how you replenish it. Maybe it's with the tonic& Yet my undestranfin is that Tonic is for the ship and science.... you see what I mean? A lot of question, not many answer and if you die because you're exploring and can find energy you di and you have a 15% death penalty. What it does and why? I don't know. Never felt this uninformed in a game like that.
