The gameplay is largely realistic, allowing quite fine cue control.

This is about the best pool simulation game that I've played. It actually feels real and the ball control is great. Update: I've now played (and beaten) all variants at least once in the competition mode. Snooker is less like snooker and more like "what if you played snooker on a pool table?" which is great because I am good at pool and terrible at snooker. Lol. But if you want a realistic snooker sim, this ain't it. The pool remains awesome, though. I've spent more time playing this game, now, than I have on many of the AAA titles in my library. I would definitely recommend this to any pool player that can't fit an actual table into their home setup.

Got a couple of Pool/Snooker games in my library and this rates highly amongst them. Love the ball physics and the amount of options available for configuring your games. One thing I wish it had and this is personal to me... I can't play snooker in this game, I have NO colour vision and there are no keys/options to enable even something simple, like Snooker 19 has, you hold C and the coloured balls all have numbers on them, so at least I can distinguish between some of the colours that I do mistake for reds. Oh well, I guess I'll have to get my snooker fix from Snooker 19 :-). Loving this game so far though and there's more than enough pool variations to keep me entertained ;-). Edit & Update: I'd missed a few things when I first started playing, but after playing a LOT more... I CAN play snooker in this game. Using the aiming line, the reticule, when positioned on a ball in 2D view, has a number on it, Pink=6, Green=3, etc., etc. My review score for this game has now increased 10-fold, it's the perfect game as far as I'm concerned :-). Just got 3 trophies, Bronze, Silver and Gold... All for snooker breaks, Gold being 50+ :-D.

Simply pool & snooker, no fluff, no "career", no bs - just launch the game and play within 5 seconds. But also one of the most realistic pool physics out there. Exactly the game I needed. If you're looking for "progress", "unlockables" and that sort of stuff, it's not a game for you.
