This game is straight up ♥♥♥♥ from a butt. Ai generated content first of all. Secondly, the bugs (so far, mostly audio-related, like mics not getting picked up for one or more players). Every single one of my friends agreed that this was a steaming pile of ♥♥♥♥, and just straight up isn't fun. HIGHLY do not recommend.

Cult of the Child Eater is a chaotic and genuinely fun co-op horror experience that really shines when played with a full squad, delivering tense, unpredictable moments that make it easy to get hooked, but its biggest issue is the difficulty, which feels overtuned to the point of frustration—even on normal mode, it can feel nearly impossible to win, even with five players working together, turning what should be a rewarding challenge into something that often feels unfair; despite that, the core gameplay is strong and the potential is clearly there, making it a game you want to keep playing because it’s fun, but one that desperately needs better balance to truly reach the level it’s capable of.

This game brings new elements to the horror genre that are unique and challenging. The rounds don't last too long so the playability is high whether playing with a group or alone! The price makes for an added bonus. Fully enjoy the game, the devs care and constantly work on patching and updates.

Played this mostly in co-op with a friend and ended up sinking way more time into it than expected. The atmosphere really works, and figuring out puzzles together while trying to stay alive creates some great tense moments. It’s the kind of horror game that shines when you take it slow and play as a group. I've maxed out most of the characters and I can safely say the gameplay gets very different with the last abilities unlocked.

After having participated in the demo version as well as the playtest I can say I've had a lot of fun with this one. Being in early access it still has some issues here and there that seem to be actively worked on by the developers. If you enjoy puzzle solving horror games, this one is quite addicting. At first the puzzles and challenges seem daunting but as you learn how to solve them the increased difficulty options make for a great time, especially with friends. As of now the game loop can sometimes feel short but I am very excited to see what the future holds for this game.

Game is decent but sadly unfinished abandonware with ♥♥♥♥♥♥ gameplay and content. Do no buy.
