Dark Reaper Shoots! 2

Balance in this game is dumb because there is none. Like everybody else, I am stuck on the first level on medium with maxed mask #4 and maxed weapon #3 and maxed pet #2. My last 3 attempts to complete level 1 medium ended because I got wiped out by 9999 damage fireballs out of no where. Dumb game, easy to fix by actually balancing the skills and removing fireballs. It is not fun to never complete a level because fireballs shoot out randomly.

Man, I really enjoyed the prequel, and got pretty excited when I learnt that a new game was made. But it's kind of a let down. The graphics should run on a potato, supposedly. Well, it doesn't run smoothly on my potato. The over the top visual effects eventually make it hard to see what the hell is going on in the arena. It's a grim reaper themed game, yet everything glows bright enough to give you eye cancer. Major thematic fail. The music gets annoying very fast. The sound effects don't really pop either. The gameplay is... a carbon copy of Vampire Survivors, essentially. Defeated enemies drop exp, leveling up and collecting chests give active skills(weapons) and passive skills(passive items) or level up existing ones. Weapon evolutions are there too. You'd think your scythe would be more important in a game about reaping souls. You also gather materials that you can use for permanent upgrades in the menu. The menus are a downgrade as well. The prequel had a really cool tech-tree style menu that was interesting to engage with, and tied different upgrades together. The new menu is just all the stats laid out in a grid. "Sure, just upgrade whatever catches your eye, I don't care…

I absolutely adored playing the first Dark Reaper Shoots game when i was wayy younger, a childhood classic even. When i saw that a sequel for it came out by the same studio that made the first one? I was baffled and excited beyond belief. Playing the sequel at first was fair and challenging, but the deeper you go the more grindy it gets, uncomfortably so that is. That's pretty much my only main problem about this game. The graphics are pretty nice, haven't noticed any game breaking bugs either when playing it. As for right now I'd give this game a 6.5/10 It definitely has potential, but it needs more tuning here and there!

Terrible balance. It becomes a massive grind a few hours into the game. And the dev team does not seem to respond to the community. Unless this game gets some massive updates I would not buy it.

The game is not balanced at all. I saw the trailer for 5 seconds and instantly bought the game. At first, I loved this game and really enjoyed the grinding. But after a while, it became very boring because the rewards we get after completing a level are not enough, and the levels are so lengthy that I sometimes fall asleep. I'm not even exaggerating. I couldn't understand the minions' scaling at all. Maybe they'll die faster if I stop using maxed-out weapons (scythe, mask and Gawgaw) and switch to new ones (15 hours in and I'm still stuck on the second stage). But in order to do that, I have to stop thinking about everything else and grind for hours. My head hurts just thinking about how many hours I have to spend grinding. I want to play the new levels, try every difficulty and face new enemies. But it's not possible to do that in its current state. I love these types of games, and this one has a lot of potential.

too slow, please rebalance this
