About Darker : Episode I
You've been invited to an old lady's mansion, who claims to be a distant relative of yours. Her name is Gretchen and she says she wants to discuss a matter of heritage with you. As you have no family or closer connection, except a few friends in town, you gladly accept. She is an elderly lady of a frail and sickly nature. You learn that she for many years has lost the ability to walk and is therefore bound to her wheelchair. She is also unable to speak and can only communicate through notes.
It is a long and tiring journey but eventually you arrive at the mansion. It is only the two of you there, which at first seems very weird since she is barely able to move, let alone speak. Something feels off... It doesn't make sense... And as you prepare to spend your first night in the mansion, you're starting to get second thoughts about your decision to stay...

This is just like those indie games that you think are gonna be ♥♥♥♥, because of the low budget, but isn't. The soundtrack is just gold and everything in this game scream talent, but not money. I was constantly on my heels playing this, it's so scary! They handle tension brilliantly. This could turn out to be an amazing series of Darker games, if it is supported by the community. And this is not a full game! This is just a little teaser and test if we want more of Brothar, wich i would LOVE! Thanks.4 found this helpful
A not very good first episode of an indie horror game. It is very, very short and nothing really happens in it. So, if there will be more episodes, but who knows that, it could become better. But without them, its just a boring game with no real ending. The graphics and sounds are ok, the voice acting is good. The achievement is not working when i wrote this review. Very short game, with nothing really to do. Have to figure out the controls yourself, as there was no way to figure out key binds. There is not a hell of a lot to do in the game, and no real story. The atmosphere and music were awesome, and this could be expanded into an awesome game, but at the moment, its would be better if it were a free demo.
This isn't a game, it's a 10 minute demo. Could be good if they actually take the time to make a game, and add some kind of in game indication for sanity rather than just a random point at which you need to take medicine or you die from fear. But right now there isn't enough here to justify any kind of cost. You can see gameplay of the entire 10 minutes here: https://youtu.be/5qVhG3kNQoU
