What Steam players say
Recent verbatim reviews from Steam — separate from playze.io community reviews below.
Players praise Day of Defeat: Source as an outstanding WW2 multiplayer shooter that carved out a distinct niche between Call of Duty and Medal of Honor, with solid gunplay built on the Source engine and excellent replayability through custom maps and mods. While the community has quieted over the years, the game remains functional and fun for those seeking classic team-based WW2 combat, though some express hope for a modernized sequel using Source 2.

WW2 in the source engine is insane
best online ww2 there is.. its time for them to make source 2
best war game i ever played so far

Bullet drop and recoil is a big factor for skilled play. Anyway, you select a team to play on and depending on which game mode you are playing, the objective is different. There is Capture the Flag, Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, King of the Hill, Gun Game, and many more with mods. After that, select a class …
still as fun as day 1 release
