Surviving winter in a fun and stylish roguelike deckbuilder. I stumbled upon this game only by luck when I saw it bundled together with another game. The anime art of this game clicked instantly to try the demo and man, it does not disappoint. Very unique gameplay, turn-based with card deck and board game similar to gwent but the enemy keeps advancing closer like a tower defense. To prevent such enemies from closing in to our base is the main point of the battle. After the tutorial campaign, the game gives you a lot of characters and 4 factions along with reinforcement cards that can be enabled/disabled, makes a huge possibility of combinations to try. Here's to hope for hours of fun experience to come.

the game is awesome but it uses AI art so do not recommend giving them money

Performance is pretty bad. Lots of shuttering. It's Slay the Spire/Monster Train format. With very unique rule and gameplay loop. Units only stays on the field for one turn(except for few). and card build around how do you make your hero unit unstoppable(resets every combat) before otherside overwhelm you. Demo is available so give it a shot and see if you like it.

Had a Blast Look, I know what you’re thinking. "Bu-but it’s AI slop!" Yes. It absolutely is. The writing and art were clearly generated by a computer having a mild stroke. But hear me out. Massive studios will happily charge you $80 for a three-hour game with cardboard backgrounds. Meanwhile, Frostbound costs less than a fancy coffee and gives you infinite hours of addictive, rogue-like deck-building. I’ve played for a good chunk and still haven't unlocked all the decks. I am a total gameplay goblin. When I play Pokémon, I don’t look at the graphics. If I want beautiful art, I'll go stare at wall in Ghost of Tsushima. If you cannot stomach AI art, skip this. But if you can ignore the art work of a robot mid stroke visuals for the sake of top-tier, cheap gameplay, buy it. Join the dark side.

Aside with the usage of A.I for its art and such and even though they would changed it later, but what this game offers was trully amazing,you got the engagement its show as strategic roguelike tower defense / card game, the soundtracks and music was what i think is the best.

The Good: - Game is relatively easy to pick up and scales difficulty quite well -- it also has a mechanic similar to Honkai Star Rail's ascension where increasing the ascensions not only increases difficulty but also grants additional player-facing mechanics. (For instance, at Ascension 7 the game allows you to purchase any one legendary card of your choice, which makes it much easier to fill a specific hero's specific deck synergies) - Multiple viable strategies that avoid making certain build paths overly centralizing, and each hero incentivizes specific build paths without making it impossible to branch out. - A decent amount of enemy variety that makes it possible to build systems mastery without being too predictable. - An expansive amount of events with fun tradeoffs. - A pretty huge library of cards that's available to every hero, plus you are not "forced" to play with new unlocks (which is common in a lot of roguelikes that sometimes make it frustrating to play because the new unlocks just pollute the card pool. Though, in my experience here each card pool adds a few good options and some seemingly "bad" cards end up having unexpected synergies -- I had a lot of fun jus…
