✦ AI summary

Players criticize this game for being a lazy mobile port with tedious tapping gameplay and frustrating time-limit mechanics that make it stressful rather than relaxing. The achievement system is poorly designed, forcing players to tackle punishing difficulty settings to earn them, and many achievements appear nearly impossible to obtain. While a couple of reviewers found it acceptable as a cheap sale purchase or brief palate cleanser, most feel it's a cash-grab shovelware title that doesn't compare favorably to similar puzzle games on the platform.

"DayD: Through time. Jurassic Rush" is a mobile app that's been dumped on Steam as if it was a real PC game (it's not)... it's a cash grab from greedy mobile devs and shovelware asset flippers, 8Floor, who are guilty of reskinning the same games literally hundreds of times and polluting Steam with them. This time, they're spamming Steam with mobile apps. "DayD: Through time. Jurassic Rush" is a pointless "12 Labours of Hercules" screen tapper/clicker mobile app. It's on the app stores as "DayD: Through time and back", where you can download and play it for free. They want your money for this free mobile app on Steam, however. There's no gameplay, just tapping on the screen. The mobile app is made to look like you're making interesting decisions as you're presented with a map of a town/village/pathway that has you clicking on various things to collect things which are then consumed when you click on an obstacle, which unlocks more things to click on. This is so lame and shallow, you could write a script to randomly click the screen and given enough time, it would beat the game. From a technical perspective, as a mobile app, this doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that …

I got this game because I really liked the Gnomes Garden games, and I thought they would be similar enough. I find myself getting bored and frustrated with it, and don't really feel any desire to go back and redo levels even to get the 3 stars. I think my biggest issue is that if you run out of time, the level ends. Which is different to most of these games. Usually if you run out of time you can still finish the level and progress, but without any stars. Which means this game isn't relaxing, and isn't suitable for young children who may have trouble meeting the time limits.

Very disappointing! Only 2 difficulties: either check or uncheck VERY DIFFICULT (unchecked is no timer & no Steam achievements), So if you want Steam Achievements, you have to play VERY DIFFICULT with very short time limits. If time runs out, you have to replay the level and receive no achievement(s). Basically I only played levels with achievements on VERY DIFFICULT and the rest in the untimed mode. The problem with that is the last 4 achievements are probably unattainable. Not even sure I can get all the ones above those but will try. So far I only have 5 of 20 achievements after playing 9 levels in 2 hours. Oh, well... time to cross UniBit off my dev's list.

Okay so it is a bit on the boring side. And the story is kind of dumb. And it isn't really a lot of fun. But I got it on sale! If you get it on deep sale then yes, I recommend it. After all it could have been worse.
