Chronoraptor

Chronoraptor is one of literally thousands of student projects infesting Steam. It's from University of Utah in the USA. While student projects tend to be better quality than most "amateur" made games, we must still question what value such projects have for gamers. As with all student projects, this isn't really a fully fleshed out game, it's just the result of an academic exercise, and as such it has much more limited value as a game than a professionally developed game would have. Educational institutions should not be using Steam as a dumping ground for homework assignments (especially if the students didn't even pass the course). Sure, it helps their marketing and helps the students feel good about themselves, but this is another case of a business putting themselves before the needs of gamers. This is one of those cases where the students came so close to greatness but missed by a simple, obvious step. This game has incredible potential. You travel through time to recover artifacts from the past, which have been stolen by a time-traveling dinosaur. The core concept revolves around using time travel clones to solve unique puzzles. Игра Chronoraptor – это динамичный экшен-платформер с пиксельной графикой, где мы играем за велосираптора, путешествующего во времени. Геймплей прост, но увлекателен: быстро бегаем, высоко прыгаем и крутим головами врагам, чтобы пробиться через толпы роботизированных динозавров и футуристических солдат. Мне особенно понравилась идея с временными порталами, которые переносят вас между доисторической эпохой и постапокалиптическим будущим. Каждая локация визуально отличается и предлагает свои уникальные вызовы. Музыкальное сопровождение отлично дополняет динамику происходящего на экране, добавляя драйва. Однако игра не лишена недостатков. Управление иногда может показаться немного неуклюжим, особенно во время сложных прыжков. Кроме того, сюжет, хоть и оригинален, не раскрывается в полной мере, и акцент сделан скорее на самом геймплее. В целом, Chronoraptor – это отличный выбор для любителей быстрых и динамичных экшен-платформеров. Рекомендую всем, кто хочет весело провести время, уничтожая врагов в роли динозавра-путешественника во времени.

puzzle game while being chased by a cyborg time travelling raptor, sign me up... btw bug with the music where its volume kept setting itself back to default at the start of the level/ when i restart. other then that and a little confusion as there was no indication of being able to aim your throws this was an amazing game definitely would love to see more

Really fun game, the puzzles aren't too hard or annoying to complete and the story is fun to read.

Short, but very interesting and fun! not much else to say about it.
