About Dead Detention (Rescribbled)
DEAD DETENTION is a scribbly coming-of-age visual novel that takes place entirely within a bored high schooler's exercise book. In it, you play as Max, a nerdy teen turned doomsday survivor, as he and his new friends try to get to safety!
- 14-year-old Max is given a detention for falling asleep in class--but a zombie outbreak suddenly interrupts it! Senior student Naomi saves him from a deadly attack, but can't leave campus without her lost sister Sora.
- Deciding to stay behind and help her, Max and Naomi begin their quest to find Sora, while struggling to survive the quickly spreading virus...
- Shape Max by making choices that are brave, scared, nice or mean.
- All your choices will compound and lead to 1 of 3 endings, including a special true ending.
- Complete quick microgames throughout the story to swing your bat, run from zombies, climb ladders, and much more.
- Each episode builds to a fun boss challenge, such as target shooting and boxing!
- Features 3 difficulties, including an unlockable Hard Mode.

This is fun, I enjoy this.5 found this helpful
I really like the game's main menu. It's so clean, and it doesn't follow the pattern that most games do, which i really like to see. And the sound effect of clicking a button there is so good, dude. And i think that the soundtrack was also quite good. It supported the game's moments and was more to my tastes than most. But maybe some weird or goofy stuff in it would work well with the game. I think that dead detention's biggest problem is just its writing, being a bit amateur. Some of the dialog felt a little forced or didn't really seem believable, like that scene early on when
max is like "I just want everything to go back to normal..."
felt a bit abrupt to me 'cause the game had just started. And naomi's reaction, of, like, "We're a team now" also felt a bit too fast, felt like they were too close this early on. I think that naomi is a character who'd become close to someone real fast, but i didn't quite believe it. I think that a few too many scenes end with zombies turning up and max, naomi, and sora then running away or killing them. And i think that max, naomi, and sora kill zombies way too effectively for them to be so terrified whenever zombies turn up…3 found this helpful
Peak as ♥♥♥♥!!! I have only gotten one ending and this game is peak. The art style is better then the og, the story is better, hell EVERYTHING IS BETTER! the ONLY flaw is that some of the mini games are a little BS but other then that. 9.5/10, hell maybe even 10/10. worth the $4 :33 found this helpful
