Deep Space Scoundrel

There's definitely a lot to enjoy about this game even in its early access state. The weapon upgrades are diverse and change a lot more than just the power of your guns, with lots of creative and funky effects to choose from and experiment with different combinations. Enemies & targets are diverse too and grow even more so as you progress through the game. Obviously, as the devs note, the space station segments in between levels are a bit barebones at the moment, but I like the concept and aesthetic of what's there already (the upgrade shop) - this seems like an aspect of the game that could eventually lend it a lot of flavor beyond the standard shooting and dodging. Overall, the gameplay is v smooth and rewarding and I found myself doing "just one more round" several times after I told myself that would be the last one. Good stuff, really looking forward to seeing this more fleshed out! Also, the music is pretty solid (although hopefully some more tracks will be added in the future). Also, you are space-froge. 10/10

Well, for the price (free right now) you can't beat it. It needs work, but it's fun and has a lot of potential. Also, LINUX SUPPORT!

I like the part where the scoundrel says "its scoundreling time" and scoundrels all over the place. pew pew pew

Addictive and fun to play! I found myself getting hooked quickly and wanting to get further each time. There's definitely potential here and I look forward to seeing how the game play will evolve!

Surprisingly fun free shmup roguelike! I love the gear switching mechanic! the main thing I personally prefer to have in roguelikes/lites is passive upgrades, but the game is already quite fun! can't wait to see what else is added
