About Des racines et des graines
Roots and sprouts is a garden game where the player will explore an island with different species of plants and trees. Each day you're uncovering this new environment and its history. You will gather some seeds from the vegetation and re-plant them close to each other to get hybrids. Day after day, you will cross-breed the plants to create some new ones, to finally find and restore the ultimate tree : Yggdrasil.

For english audiences this game has no english ingame. The English description is very misleading to english audiences, as there is nothing for us here. Pour le public français, le jeu n'est pas agréable, il est très déroutant, la qualité artistique est très médiocre et globalement ce n'est pas génial.4 found this helpful

"Des racines et des graines" is a very simple casual Adobe Flash-like French gardening game where the objective is to plant a few monochrome line drawing seeds, grow some monochrome line drawing plants, and the occasional monochrome line drawing Yggdrasil. Yeah, bet you didn't expect the Yggdrasil. Nobody expects the Yggdrasil! What do you do in the game? Wander around and plant a few seeds. This is drier than watching already dry paint dry. I had more fun writing this review than I did playing the game. This may be an effective non-medicinal treatment for insomnia. There's no English translation for the game, but that's okay. The language of bad games is universal. This game features very lacklustre minimalist line drawing "art" for graphics instead of anything remotely contemporary. I'm sure the "developer" thought this would come across as "artistic", but it doesn't, it comes across as "really lazy". Yes, contemporary 3D graphics take a lot of time and effort to create. That doesn't mean it's okay not to bother! Developers must try to understand that gaming is a visual medium, and gamers spend a lot of money on high end gaming rigs for a reason. And that reason is…
