I really enjoyed the first game in the Desperados series (Wanted Dead of Alive), but this game not so much. It was made during a time when everything was moving to 3D, and the game suffered from the transition. The charm of the isometric levels was lost and everything was harder to control. I didn't find the story or the gameplay as engaging as the first game. If you enjoyed the first game, I'd say skip this game and go straight to Desperados 3, where the game went back to its roots.

Probably one of the only people who kinda liked it. I dont know but with this much negativity my expectations were completely at the bottom which is probably why i ended up enjoying it a bit. Stiil kinda bad though half the game simply does not work, as you are more sneaky by running up to a guard by running than approaching him by crouching, and your lifebar is nonexistant as unlike oher desperados games where you atleast have a second to do something once a guard sees you here you get instakilled, the story is more underwhelming compared to the others, and the third person feature is just bugged because your FPS drop to 10 or something something that doesnt happen in helldorado which is basically desperados 2.5 and which fixes most of this game's issues. With all that said though i enjoyed it. Not the dramatic story of the third game or the infuriating keyboard breaking but enjoyable gameplay of the first game but still i kinda prefer playing this and helldorado over chicago 1930 and robin hood legend of sherwood and i didnt hate myself while playing it unlike something like ark survival evolved which was both more buggy and more boring than this. If you want to into the series p…

Although I REALLY disliked Desperados 1 and thought it could be better, Desperados 2 does the exact thing people always want sequels to be: A literally different genre. I mean, yeah, you COULD play the game from the top down, but it's way more fun and easier to just go into third person and blast your way through. Because this is what this game truly is, a third person shooter. Stealth doesn't always work, if I thought the stealth in the first game was wonky in this game it's broken. Everytime you kill an enemy you get such a massive amount of ammo that you can pretty much blast your way through the game with a single character without much problem. Which I think was intended, considering how many levels have forced encounters The AI is incredibly buggy and unlike the first game it gets stuck on level geometry a lot, note that this doesn't stop it from 1-shot-killing you the nanosecond they see you and turn to face you. I've heard that the game runs bad on AMD hardware, and on mine the performance drops when going to third person mode are awful, even with the game all on minimum. Keep in mind I'm on an RX570. Not exactly a modern contender for high tier, but it should be easily…
