Each hates the other but must work together to save themselves and possibly the ones they love. Play Kane in single-player mode and either character in two-player co-op mode.
- Violence erupts in meticulously created 'safe' worlds - Realistic and responsive environments and crowds react when events get of out control. Crowded nightclubs and calm bank offices become scenes of sudden terror. Manipulate the environments and crowds strategically to complete objectives.
- Wide variety of intense 3rd person game play - Rappel from buildings; fire on the run or from moving vehicles; launch surprise attacks, lay down cover fire, and shoot blind from around corners; and hurl smoke, tear, and incendiary grenades.
- Fast and intuitive combat - Lead a crew of criminal mercenaries to increase your chance of surviving and reaching your goals. You can also fight alone as your crew AI will automatically draw fire, throw grenades, lay down cover, and engage in close combat with their own signature moves.
- Two-player co-operative game play - Team up and play the full story with a friend as either Kane or Lynch. On the big jobs, split the command of your crew. At any point in the game you can choose to play the next, or previous, levels in co-op.

[H1] Kane & Regret [/H1] [H3]painfully mid[/h3] If you're a video game nerd like me, you'll probably remember the controversy surrounding [b]Kane & Lynch: Dead Men's[/b] release. The backlash wasn't about the game's violence or subject matter. Instead, it became one of the first major controversies to raise questions about whether publishers had too much influence over the outlets reviewing their games. I remember much of the discussion centering around Jeff Gerstmann's 7/10 review for GameSpot. Looking back, that score feels fair, though I would argue it may have been slightly generous. Today, I'd place [b]Kane & Lynch: Dead Men[/b] closer to a 6/10, and on some days, perhaps even a 5/10. [b]It's an aggressively average game that rarely rises above its peers.[/b] The game's squad-based mechanics feel underdeveloped, with AI teammates often creating more problems than they solve. It's clear the game was built with co-op in mind, as many of its frustrations would likely disappear with a human partner. I had the game way more innovative in my memory. While the Story is still interesting the whole mechanics make it a very frustrating experience nowandays. A Bummer.
I strongly believe that this game was misunderstood when it came out. The grittiness of it all is peak before Trevor and Michael from GTA V existed. On the technical side, worked flawlessly with Proton 9 and xliveless, it was a joy going through it for both endings.
Did not start: fixed (~15mins) Did not load once started: fixed (~10 mins) Stutters every 2 minutes: irritating (seems there is a third part fix) Inputs unreliable: unplayable (seems there is a third party fix) I'm not surprised this has been pulled from the store, given the state it's in. I'm not interested in third party patches, and have no intention of testing those out.
