Detective From The Crypt

Great game, classic P&C detective adventure, lots of cozy locations, lots of objects, 80% of the time their placement made sense, a few were obscure, cozy cat to give you little hints, lots of characters, great dialog, just the right amount, graphics were great like the Lucas era games, story was decent, some mystery. A couple of times I didn't know what to do next even with the cat. I had no clue I could solve it until i read a walkthrough. Overall a good decent cozy game.

This was... Not rage inducing. Actually, I really like the pretty sceneries and being a long-haired ghost lady. We also get a cat, so that makes the score go up by 100x in itself. Gameplay... Well... Some things I felt were trial and error. I still wasn't sure why we had to shove candy at the Mason to make him do his thing... Did I miss something? Eh. Everything else came with clues/hints. If you could pick up on it. There are... FIVE endings. But ONLY ONE is a "Good One". I don't know what else to say. Just meow. Oh and the story/mystery was enough to bring all the Five Endings together. It worked.

[h1] A bit finicky and monotonous [/h1] [h3] Summary ; TLDR [/h3] A [b]less than 3 hour[/b] game with some quality of life mechanics that are unfortunately for me outweighed by annoying (not game breaking) mechanics. The story itself is decent until the ending and this game has very [b]poor transcription to English[/b] which effected overall story and even clues (by generally being unhelpful). Some items and clues had weak logic to them and made it less satifying to progress and determine "whodunnit". Nice graphics and audio. I'd recommend if it's on sale if you're really wanting to add this to your repotoir. But you're not missing out on much. [h3] Game play [/h3] My main qualm over this game. The [b]walking whether it be a/d or point and click is disgusting[/b]. If you use a or d she will stop after a brief period rather than it being fluid so I found myself just constantly tapping it. That and the pausing seems to be ranged based, so [b]you'll move from A to B, NO INBETWEEN[/b] so you might as well use point and click.
