About Detective Story: Reporter
Detective Story: Reporter - is an exciting 2D quest game with horror elements. It is about a reporter girl called Emma.
As you’ve seen, it is a continuation of the story about the detective Harold who didn’t solve the problem and missed the killer.
In this part you are going to play as a reporter girl Emma that is sent to a holiday camp Nordlost for investigating a row of terrible crimes.
The main aim here is collecting different clues and witnesses’ interviews. Because of these things you’ll finally realize what and how happens in the place.
As in the first part, there are two unusual endings here. Do each of them and be sure you’ll remember the story for a long time!

RPG Maker strikes again! Detective Story: Reporter is yet another construction kit template copy+paste from serial shovelware pushers, LTZinc. These guys (or just one guy flipping accounts to mislead gamers) do nothing but copy premade game templates and game tutorials, fill out a few things/stamp out basic levels using the construction kit templates, slap on an asset flipped set of sprites/assets, and dump them on Steam and into DailyIndieGame bundles as cash grabs. Trying to get paid for someone else's game templates, assets... at best, this is shovelware, at worst, it's a scam/cash grab. LTZinc (and their associate, Big Black Bear) have a known history of trying to scam people into paying them money for someone else's work. One example of LTZinc/Big Black Bear doing this is Factory Pirates, which is really the "Polygon Pirates Low Poly 3D asset pack" asset, written by the actual developers, Synty Games. This game feels unfinished and a bit clunky. The story has potential but is hampered by poor language translation. There appears to be no option for sound, adding some background music would help give the game some ambience.2 found this helpful
Detective Story: Reporter is a narrative-driven indie mystery game developed and published by LTZinc. Acting as a follow-up to an earlier Detective Story title, the game places players in the role of Emma, a young journalist determined to uncover the truth behind a series of unsettling crimes. Rather than focusing on action or combat, the experience revolves around investigation, observation, and piecing together information hidden throughout a remote holiday camp known as Nordlost. The setup immediately establishes a sense of intrigue, presenting a case that appears connected to events from the previous game while introducing a fresh protagonist and perspective. The core gameplay is centered on exploration and detective work. Players travel through various locations, examine clues, and question individuals who may hold important information about the ongoing crimes. This approach creates a slow-burning mystery where progress depends on gathering evidence and connecting narrative details. The game aims to capture the feeling of conducting a real investigation, encouraging players to pay attention to conversations and environmental details rather than relying on fast-paced mechanic…1 found this helpful
The game was buggy as hell and the translation was quite bad. The flow of the story didn't quite work since I could just skip right to the end in a few minutes without ever speaking to any of the characters. I know it was cheap but I feel like in the state that it is as of right now it should be free since right now it's more of a incohearent mess than a game.
I've only played a bit, but I can tell you that this game is... rough. Definitely good it doesn't cost more than a dollar. There are spelling and grammatical errors everywhere, the music isn't fitting, and you can clip straight through a lot of objects, even buildings. There's no buildup to the plot, and the plot itself is convoluted and confusing. I can't recommend it at all.
