♥♥♥♥ Wilde is a VR arcade shooter focused on fast reflexes, environmental hazards, and lighthearted humor. Built for motion controllers, it delivers short bursts of action rather than narrative depth, emphasizing pure shooting skill and stage mastery. Players take on the role of ♥♥♥♥ Wilde, a caricatured swamp exterminator tasked with clearing out waves of mutated animals and monsters. The premise is intentionally absurd, setting a comedic tone that fits its over-the-top style and chaotic gameplay. Combat is simple but satisfying. You use dual-wielded weapons—shotguns, bows, nail guns, and more—to destroy incoming enemies while dodging projectiles and managing limited ammunition. Each weapon has a unique firing pattern and reload rhythm, keeping fights unpredictable. Level design follows a wave-based structure. Each environment, from toxic swamps to polluted rivers, features new enemy types and hazards. The challenge escalates quickly, testing accuracy and reaction time rather than complex strategy. Visually, the game uses a bright, cartoonish art style that enhances readability in VR. Explosions, splashes, and exaggerated animations make the chaos easy to follow. ♥♥♥♥ Wilde is a loud, chaotic, and unapologetically arcade-styled wave shooter developed by Bolverk Games, designed first and foremost as a VR spectacle built on fast reflexes, oversized weaponry, and goofy swamp-monster mayhem. Rather than leaning on realism or gritty action, the game embraces its cartoonish premise with full enthusiasm: you take on the role of ♥♥♥♥ Wilde, a backwoods exterminator who deals with mutated wildlife by blasting, zapping, and shredding anything that slithers, flies, or crawls out of the water. Its intention is simple—to recreate the energetic feel of a classic arcade shooting gallery—while harnessing the physical immersion that VR provides. The presentation leans heavily into exaggerated visuals and pulpy humor. The environments are stylized swamps, tropical coastlines, and northern waterways depicted with bold colors and chunky outlines. Everything looks slightly absurd, from the bug-eyed crocodiles to the over-the-top weapons in your hands. Despite the intentionally goofy aesthetic, the visuals are sharp and readable, which is crucial in a wave shooter full of fast-moving enemies. ♥♥♥♥ Wilde himself frequently comments during missions, though the hu…
i'm dickin' it so wildely
My first wave shooter and probably one of my favorites. Surprised the reviews are low. This indicates low sales, I know there's a sequel but this one is tops.
It's fine, I guess. Not much to speak of, gameplay is pretty repetitive but it's good for 20 minutes if you're bored.
