Dinner with an Owl

I ended up really liking this one. It's a very short experience that can be a little repetitive at times due its looping mechanic, but one still full of so much charm and driven by an intriguing story. The mechanics are very easy to grasp onto after the first few loops, and the creators chose to keep things simple, limiting where a player can go and when to point them in the right direction. I was also absolutely delighted to see the game wouldn't let me accidentally skip over dialogue I had not heard before. It was a very nice feature that made going through each loop less annoying than it could have been. Sometimes you just want to play a short experience with a good story, and I'd say this fits into that category pretty well. I'd recommend this title if that's what you're looking for. If not, you might find this one a little disappointing.

I played this game. Then until now, I still watch the gameplay on Youtube just to get the vibe of it for my room in some dark late night. Thats enough said about the core value of this game: the atmosphere is just what I wanted about such a weird situation like a dinner with an owl. It is weirdly soothing

you mean it WASN'T A DATE??? love the artstyle, the soundtrack, and the voice acting as well! doesn't have anything in the way of replay value though. i wouldn't say that was a bad thing though. it was good time pass. i approve! i lost it when the owl started serenading the contractor out of nowhere. i'm a little disappointed that the mystery of how this curse came to be or how it reached Mr. Brown isn't explore though. i hear that this does have a prequel? in Owl Observatory so ig i'll check it out.

Finished it in about half an hour while in a dark room. The story is simple and repetitive, but the beauty of all surreal horror stories is subjective, and this game is beautiful in its simplicity and open-endedness (is that a word?). Should the game have a "full", i.e. a longer version, I'll gladly play it. Anyway, don't drink tap water.
