Disc Golf VR is an Abandoned Early Access VR exclusive low poly Frisbee Golf/Disc Golf simulator. For those who don't know, Disc Golf is a variation on golf, where instead of clubs and small balls, a flying disc/frisbee is used. Instead of a small hole with a flag in it as the goal, there's an elevated net/basket. It's a popular recreational game in North America. Does it need a VR exclusive low poly version on Steam? Nope. The low poly, low effort art assets look like they're asset flipped and are wholly underwhelming. The game was abandoned only recently (about 4 months ago), but it's been in development hell for 4 years and there's no chance it will ever be completed. The game features lazy low-polygon "retro" assets, making this look like a barely functional 3D game from the 1990s. It's unclear why the developers weren't able to arrange high quality, high polygon count contemporary assets for the game, and also irrelevant... what matters is that this looks bad as a result of their decisions, a compromise PC gamers shouldn't have to put up with. Конечно, до ощущения реального броска далеко, но разработчики явно постарались. Разнообразие полей радует - от лесных массивов до горных ландшафтов, каждое со своим уникальным набором препятствий. Но не все идеально. Управление вначале кажется немного непривычным, приходится приноравливаться к механике замаха и броска. Не хватает более подробного обучения для новичков в дисковом гольфе, и было бы здорово увидеть мультиплеер, чтобы соревноваться с друзьями. В целом, это хорошая игра для тех, кто ищет что-то новое в VR. Она предлагает расслабляющий геймплей и отличную возможность потренировать свою координацию и меткость. Если вам нравится дисковый гольф или вы просто хотите попробовать что-то отличное от обычных шутеров, 'Disc Golf VR' безусловно стоит попробовать. Рекомендую!

This game is much better than what the rest of the reviews make it out to be. For a completely free VR game, this has way more than what I was expecting. When you are on the hole select screen, you can spawn infinite Frisbees on the table by clicking down on your sticks. You can realistically beat the game in 15 minutes but it achieves exactly what it sets out to be. As long as you keep an open mind, it is a really fun VR game just to try out.
