This is a budget-priced arcade kart racer where you push yourself forward like you're on a wheelchair in this open-world obstacle course. You can boost, double-jump, or glide in the air as you try to get to your location to complete quests. It's closer to a platforming game than an actual racing game, but you can definitely race against your friends online. The controls are quite easy to learn, but can be challenging to master, especially when you try to go up an incline with the wind trying to blow you off. I do think the game can use a better tutorial, especially for the more advanced tricks you have to learn to get around some obstacles. There is usually a ghost (AI player) you can sort of follow to learn how to do it though. Pushing yourself around is actually pretty easy so it's not an intense workout. The challenge is mostly trying to figure out the obstacle course. I wasn't sure about the content, but after about an hour, I'm still no where close to finishing the race just due to the challenge. Don't Puke! is an Early Access Free to play VR game. It worked on my HTC Vive, Index and Meta Quest 3 via Steam Link system, looked ok, played ok, sounded ok. You are in a Cart that can fly and roll. Best played seated. Has a multiplayer mode. Has a cockpit and helmet to help prevent motion sickness. Warning: This game has the motion sickness in spades Maybe try this game for free, if you have your VR legs and strong stomach.

Played OK without any major issues. Was like a neat project/concept for a game. Fun enough for a free game.

"Don't Puke!" is a poorly named VR exclusive "open world" kart racer with no players that's either abandoned or deep in development hell. Sure, the bad low poly graphics might make you feel queasy, but I don't think the bad graphics are why they gave this such a weird name. There's a modest range of activities for a kart racer in the game as you are challenged with various obstacle areas, and there's the hang-gliding/microlight plane aspect, but overall it didn't manage the capture the attention of gamers. Perhaps if the production values were higher and the game wasn't designed to exclude over 98% of gamers on Steam it could have done better. The developers stopped updating this 6 months ago. It will almost certainly never be completed. With no players interested in this, there's no motivation for the developer to do anything but leave this on Steam in an incomplete state. In terms of visuals, this features fairly low quality low poly 3D visuals which will deter a lot of gamers, understandably. Gaming is a visual medium, and while some developers struggle with creating high quality visuals, failing to do so is a disservice to gamers. It's very difficult to recommend bad …

Don't Puke! is one of those VR games where the basic concept sounds completely ridiculous, but I actually found the movement surprisingly enjoyable. I drive a strange physics based cart around a floating sky island, climbing toward the highest areas while jumping, boosting and gliding through obstacles. I liked how different it feels from a normal racing game because I am physically grabbing and turning the wheels to control the cart. The cart handling is definitely the main attraction. Steering takes some getting used to because the movement is based on physics rather than ordinary gamepad controls. Once I start getting comfortable, though, the cart becomes much more satisfying to use. Boosting up steep areas, jumping between platforms and gliding through the air gives the game a nice feeling of freedom. The sky island itself is designed around different activities and challenges. Some sections focus more on climbing and platforming, while others support PvP or cooperative play. I liked having an environment that encourages me to move vertically rather than simply racing around a flat track. The stars scattered around the island also give exploration some extra purpose.
