Doomsday Hunters

This game is a gem and while you may read that this is not finished, I'd still buy it, this is the first time that I felt this way about a game. This game is like a beautiful paint that's 99% finished. The painting is so beautiful that you just can't help but to appreciate it even if it's not in it's final form. This is the first time that I felt in love with a game in this way. I don't know what it is, if it's the art, the atmosphere, the story, I'm sorry words can make justice to what I feel for this game. The game offers a LOT of mechanics, items, bosses, enemies, characters, npcs. synergies, ways of playing There are a few downsides. One of them is that some of the most fun game mechanics are hidden behind a meta progression that's unlocked by playing. Some of them makes you feel progression but others I felt that are essential things like rerolling that shouldn't be unlocked but that's my personal opinion. Also the game is not very well documented, the tutorial approaches a lot of things in the game but doesn't explain what is and how radiation works. Maybe on Steam Deck if you have one? As far as playing on PC it just doesn't offer enough to get my attention other than the great art style. Gunplay is bland, isometric view is so-so, and the thing that really kills it for me is how the game is tiny little minizones instead of a map you run around (I mean really tiny).

Such a shame this game is way too easy, you will win 99% of your runs, each run taking way over an hour, have to often split run in two playthroughs, the game has so much style but it completely lacks any sense of reward. I never thought that one would complain about game beeing too easy, yet here we are in 2026 the year of forza horizons and idle clickers, where you win just by winking or wanking at the screen. You will lose only by being not carefull only by trying to shave off the length of the run and even then only if you are really unlucky. Im pretty sure it will all get old around 10 hour mark because of it, unless you this modern woke gamer who likes that game lets you beat it like its a michael jackson's meat. Its a shame because i wouldnt mind losing and starting all over again 10-20 min later and actually feeling well rewarded for having a good run and therefore not minding to play through a long run more carefully. Ill reccomend only if you dont mind that there is only dozen of hours of game before it will collect dust on your steam shelf or if you like the idea of bullet hells but completely suck at them or have a reaction speed of a sloth, otherwise just stick to isaa…

It is a great game with nice art direction. Give it a chance

Amazing game! I love the art sooo much, and it's very addictive. One of my favorites of the gender. Highly recommended!
