Downstairs 2 Nightfall is a dark horror adventure that I found most interesting when it focused on its abandoned village setting. I play as someone searching for his missing girlfriend Mary, and the investigation quickly turns into a much more dangerous journey through fog, ruined locations and supernatural threats. I liked the basic setup because it gives the exploration a clear emotional purpose. The game mixes exploration with mystery, hidden object elements, stealth and combat. I have to search the environment for clues and useful items while staying aware of the creatures around me. I enjoyed having different things to think about during exploration, although the different systems do not always fit together as smoothly as I would have liked. The abandoned village and surrounding areas are easily the strongest part of the game for me. The fog gives everything a gloomy and isolated feeling, while the darker locations create a nice sense of uncertainty. got to the military bunker area and found the fuse to open the door game had some type of bag that prevented the door from opening. it wouldn't be that bad if there were save points, since there's not any you have to stare over :(. don't waste your time.

This game is a piece of sh!t. First it asks me for a password to get through a metal door so I had to start back at the beginning and write down the numbers on the letters (95738) then I got through that door and found the second metal door in the fancy hallway (5528) got the key, found the other locked door to the room with the rifles in it, then I turn around and the door glitched out, that same door turns into another metal door with a code needed and I got softlocked.
