What Steam players say
Recent verbatim reviews from Steam — separate from playze.io community reviews below.
Players appreciate the game's core loop and multiplayer elements, comparing it favorably to Monster Hunter-style grindy dungeon crawlers, but are frustrated by severe balance issues—particularly with caster classes being underpowered—and alarmed by the apparent abandonment of development, with only minimal updates over the past two years despite being in early access for three years. The game also suffers from clunky controls, movement bugs, and feels unfinished overall, leading many to question whether development will continue at all.
Had fun playing it for awhile but it's unfinished and looks to be abandoned7 found this helpful
Past lvl 10, this game has terrible balance. If you're not playing a mage, don't expect to have fun or be viable, and even that doesn't feel good in the clunky-ness of this game. It doesn't feel fun to play or experience. Combat is garbage, creator has promised changes nearly 2 years ago with nothing in sight. Movement options feel slow, controls feel slow. Small slopes catch your character, making them stuck, invisible walls where they really shouldn't be. Game is unhealthy. Only one update in the entire year of 2023... about dialogue options in town. EDIT: It appears the VR version gets very sparse updates that this version doesn't get. This version has been abandoned. That being said, I still revisit it every so often for a laugh while i'm drunk. 0/10, Crowdsourced cash grab. P.S. In case you think i'm hating for the that comment, the developer's Trello is public: https://trello.com/c/vZLk0sEW/33-improve-combat . Last combat note was made in 2020. No forward progress made on the game in the past 6 months in the slightest.7 found this helpful
Pretty sure at this point the game has been abandoned. Last update was .5.15 in 2023 as of writing.3 found this helpful
Well this is annoying i have no idea if this game is still going or not but let me get my hopes up again tho at some point1 found this helpful
A little overpriced for what it is, but I'm enjoying it. The game feels very much unfinished, especially after 3 years of early access. There are lots of missions to do and there's still a pulse of life in multiplayer missions. You can see other players in the hub area from time to time. The game feels similar to games like Monster Hunter, in that you re-visit certain levels repeatedly with new twists on enemy layouts and loot. It's very grindy and very easy to die, but is probably more balanced with a teammate or two.1 found this helpful
simple and fun game, just wish it was updated more often. the caster is under powered and doesn't deal as much damage, or have as much defense as the other classes. i usually love playing casters but it's just so weak in this game, not to mention you go through mana too fast and there's no hotkey to quick use potions which is especially inconvenient when that's you're only form of dealing damage. the other classes are much more fun and enjoyable i just wish they made some changes to the caster
