Divinity: Dragon Commander

Incredibly mediocre game, and short if you know what you're doing. I finished the campaign on medium difficulty in two days. The RPG elements are basically just conversations and small increases to my general's stats. I don't really consider the decisions I make as ruler to be RPG elements, but they do have some purpose and can give random benefits while also angering some of the races in the game. Yeah, you can fly around as a dragon, and I won't lie, it's fun to a degree, but enemy anti-air can blow me out of the sky so easily. My normal attack with the dragon overheats quickly, so the dragon's effectiveness mostly comes down to the abilities you research and equip on him. I think this game missed a huge opportunity by not giving us medieval fantasy armies like in Warcraft or Warhammer games. The game is set in a fantasy world, but uses modern to semi-futuristic warfare for its RTS gameplay, except there are no nukes. You control ONLY mechanical units. It plays a bit like a combination of Star Wars: Empire at War, Supreme Commander, and the RTS part of Space Rangers 2.

The RTS isn't great, but the characters and interactions go a long way to make up for that. One of the better waifu simulators out there.

What an absolute dumpster fire. Unfairly hard, terrible controls and it can take a long walk off a short pier. Avoid at all costs.

Okay, I'll be honest. I didn't really care for the battle portions of this game much. I'd mostly autobattle most of the fights. However, where this game SHINES is the political management. I utterly enjoyed having to run a kingdom, trying my best to please the dwarves, imps, undead, elves, and lizards. And the character design was utterly wonderful as well!

This game was good.

Changed some graphics settings, set resolution to my monitor's native. The UI then did a super zoom-in and I could see the whole UI panel, text on buttons disappeared, and I couldn't change any other settings to 'fix' the issue. I had to End Task. Garbage.
