I really wanted to like it. D2 aesthetic survivor-likes aren't common. But there are so many issues with the graphics and the fundamentals of a basic survivor-like, amongst a sea of hundreds of them, that this one doesn't stand up against. Pros? D2 aesthetic, the game runs, the dude yelling is funny (and annoying), it's got charm, it's unique in it's own right, music isn't half bad, I did want to keep playing. Cons? 1. Bloom, my god the bloom, even on low post processing it's just blaring. You cannot read in game text or see the items for sh!t. 2. Why have a render resolution slider if it doesn't actually increase the rendering resolution? 3. Early game is rough. The first character plays like dragging your b@lls through a cactus field. Why not have the swing be alternating forward and then back, instead of facing directional? You cannot aim with your mouse so it makes playing it annoying, and I hate when games do these directional facing ability. 4. Your hit box is massive, you will get hit by random sh!t, behind walls you can't see enemies from. In turn, you die super fast. 5. You will fetch the same chests over and over again and they drop only 2 items, a health pot and go…

I wanted to like this game. But, I have to say it's just not fun. It could be fun. Starting out, it is incredibly hard just trying to get anywhere. You start a session, but, as soon as you enter a battle you die. If you live long enough to take a few steps, you might get some gold or potions from a chest. Progression is very hard even starting out. I could see the difficulty increasing as you progress. But, even if you manage to survive long enough to win one battle, you do not keep the abilities and item you won to help you in the next. I can see starting over each session. But, after each battle? Then, the music keeps going back to 100% after turning it down. THE MUSIC FREAKING SUCKS!. And, every time I turn it down, it goes back to 100% after the next load screen. I am requesting refund

good foundation

It’s repetitive, but honestly that ends up being part of the appeal. Just zoning out, mowing through hordes, and slowly building up your character gets weirdly addictive after a while.

Didn’t expect much from it, but somehow it turned into a full evening of “hey one more run.”
