About Dreamkeeper

Uncover A Mystical World!

In “Dreamkeeper” you play as Marshmallow, the cute little pet of a girl named Ava who wants to become a heroine. The so called “Dreamkeepers” are pets who have the magical ability to see nightmares and ward them off, while their owners are sleeping. But in Avas home village the Dreamkeepers are getting weaker and weaker and no one knows why. She embarks on a journey to find the cause of the problem and save her village. Help Marshmallow to fend off the nightmares and discover more about Avas world by increasing the score and unlocking more stories!

Choose Your Powers

By increasing the high-score you can unlock new tarot-cards with different abilities. There are five in total to choose from for every game you play, but you can only choose two in every fight to protect Ava from the Nightmares. Find your very own playstyle and explore the different card-synergies and modifiers to get the highest score!

Choose Your Challenge!

There are different game modes that offer the right challenge for every player, whether professional or beginner. After unlocking every card and lore-snippet you can customize your own game and choose modifiers to make the game harder or easier. Beat your own record and set new high scores by protecting Ava from all Nightmares!

It was okay for a free game. Annoying having to get 300k points to get lore achievement. Needs some way to collect points without running into them like stop firing or move to top of screen.

I don't get it, something clearly doesn't work for me, I don't choose any cards before a "session", there are no upgrades, just mass of bubbles flying and sometimes I can use the only card I have at start, so WTF?

"Dreamkeeper" is a rather poorly made, objectively failed 2D retro bullet hell/shoot 'em up borrowing elements of the progression system of Poncle's Vampire Survivors, and despite having marginally better (read: non-pixelcrap) graphics, it's still a worse game. What do you do in the game? Control some artistically drawn fairy thing, blast enemies, get upgrades, and then quickly join the ranks of the 120M+ gamers who don't play this. The game features really lacklustre 2D visuals (does the developer not know 3D graphics became mainstream in the mid-1990s?). Gamers don't spend thousands of dollars on gaming rigs and the latest 3D graphics cards to play 2D games. Even mobile phones and game consoles can do 3D graphics now. There's no excuse. The developer chose not to do the job of a real game developer and create meaningful bespoke levels, narrative based gameplay progression and so on. Instead, they decided that "Procgen IS content!" and lazily tried to use procgen algorithms to create infinite, samey, repetitive, soulless levels, because that's a lot less work. As a result of this poor decision, the game gets tired and repetitive almost immediately. Developers must learn …
