About Moolii's Dreamland
Background
Moolii’s Dreamland is a 2D hand-drawn horizontal flying Bullet-hell indie game that restores classic arcade gameplay. Players will play as the little fox Moolii. One night, Moolii was forced to bed by her mom. While she was in sleep, she experienced physical oppression and alarm from the family pets, and the mischief of friends and relatives, thus entering a world of strange dreams. In her nightmare, Moolii got powerful skills, allowing her to destroy all the monsters!
Whimsical Designs for Stages and Monsters
Some of the animals, scenes and characters in the game are all inspired by people and things around the developer. For example, there are five ferrets, a dog and two sugar gliders raised by the developer, who will accompany you in the game in a strange but cute way. In addition, the design for each stage is not only purely about horizontal flying, but also has some brainstorming ideas and designs, waiting for you to explore!

Feel The Coolness of Classic Arcade Shooting Gameplay!
The game was developed by a solo developer, inspired by the FC console from our childhood classic: Salamander and other classics. The gameplay of Moolii’s Dreamland is more about flying bullet-hell game in a horizontal version. Once you go forward, there is no turning back. It requires our players’ bravery. So don’t be afraid, use the combo trick of ammos and melee attacks, fight a way out for Moolii!

Diverse Bosses and Monsters
In Moolii’s nightmare, players will face different types of monsters and bosses in different areas, each with their own unique appearances and ways of attacks. From the owl who will pour down hot water to the mad cow who will go on a rampage, these monsters all come with skills ranging from sudden advances to a variety of wind-blade ammo attacks, testing your reflexes to cope with a variety of difficult levels.

Cute 2D hand-drawn Style and Plot
The game features a lively and cute 2D hand-drawn style, telling the story of Little Fox Moolii took place both in the real world and the dream world. It showcases Little Moolii's wonderful imagination and the lively and loving Fox family.

Whimsical Design of Scenes in Moolii’s Dreamland
The Cat Forest, where all canines are unwelcome (including Little Moolii), the Dry Pond occupied by bully of the family "King Duck", and the Rushing Plains where is filled with goats and cows... As Moolii travels to these strange places, you'll battle the monsters and bosses. Also, watch out for flying obstacles and moving maps!

Multiple Ammo Types and Skills
The game has a variety of ammo types and skills for players to choose from. Players can upgrade their skills and attributes to successfully defeat the oncoming monsters through a combination of melee claw strikes, long-range ammo and skill releases. You can also use your anger to enter a "Super State", which allows you to quickly kill a large number of enemies with a snap of your fingers!

The artwork is great but this is a game that assumes that longer fights mean better. The gun, even at level 3 deals a pitiful amount of damage and it turns fighting bosses into a slog even at the lowest difficulty level. Turing it up just makes the battle more tedious because the patterns are uninteresting and are rarely aimed at the player. Then they have some of the bosses stretch out the misery even longer with invulnerability phases where they have a shield, stand behind the player (you cant shoot backwards), or just stop taking damage like the duck king. Mooli is also slow as hell so if you're not moving before the boss does a dash or aoe you get caught. But it appears that the boss attack order is random so that helps. It also doesnt help that the stages are too long. I looked at footage of other games and a stage is about 2 minutes, including the boss fight, while this game it's closer to 5 and later stages are even longer. They overstay their welcome. What I don't like about the artwork is they didn't ensure that bullets would standout against any background element of the stage like most danmaku. Green bullets on a green background is not ideal. Also, projectiles and en…6 found this helpful

basically it's like if Cuphead (especially plane levels and along with Parry Slap mechanic) meets Fantasy Zone (which it's the only i can think of) and Pizza Tower (again, Parry mechanic)i remember hearing this game in 2021 and it's too bad this game hasn't received attention. the game is actually fun if you liked SHMUPS or a fan of plane levels from Cuphead give this game more attention i can make Wiki.gg of it (i tried to apply but they found this game too niche which it make sense as the game is super obscure)1 found this helpful
JANK. This game crashed so many times, multiple times the UI froze and I had to force quit the game to exit. The developer claims all of the game is translated, but left multiple text boxes in Chinese with no english translation to explain. The menu is terrible. The levels are so badly designed, and many of the levels glitched and cause you to force quit the game. Just so so so jank, worse than you might think. Game endingly bad. Do not buy this game. Undercooked is putting it mildly.
Moolii’s Dreamland, developed by WOWOH CAT and published by OKJOY, is a vibrant side-scrolling shoot ’em up that disguises its intensity behind a charming, almost storybook-like presentation. At first glance, it looks soft and inviting, with colorful characters and whimsical environments, but it quickly reveals itself as a tightly designed action game that demands sharp reflexes, steady focus, and a willingness to learn through repeated attempts. You play as Moolii, a small fox navigating a strange dream world filled with surreal enemies and shifting landscapes. The narrative is light and largely atmospheric, serving more as a thematic frame than a driving force. What matters more is the sense of being trapped in an unpredictable, slightly distorted version of reality, where ordinary objects and creatures are reimagined into strange, sometimes unsettling forms. This dreamlike quality gives the game a distinctive personality, even if the story itself remains minimal. The gameplay follows classic shoot ’em up conventions but adds just enough variation to feel fresh. Movement is constant, with players weaving through waves of incoming projectiles while firing back at enemies. What s…
