About Dust to the End
Lead a merchant caravan through a post-apocalyptic wasteland, trading goods across dynamic markets while managing mercenaries, building settlements, and uncovering the truth behind the ruthless Black Death organization. Navigate turn-based combat, explore 50+ cities, establish underground bases, and shape your story through choices that determine multiple possible endings in this unforgiving world where survival depends on cunning trade and ruthless combat.

Decades ago, a world-scale nuclear conflict destroyed human civilization as we knew it. The scant survivors hid in underground shelters and spent near a century in hiding. When the radiation dissipated enough for the ground to be safe, many groups of survivors resurfaced again and began re-colonizing the world, reconstructing civilization… to some extent: the human race failed to learn from the mistakes that led to their downfall. History started repeating very quickly, as new powers emerged in the wastelands – in a world where resources were scarce and far apart, growing settlements, petty warlords and roaming bands clashed in constant strife for land, food, water and other resources.
You grew up in Shelter 507, living a safe life (if dull and stagnate) until a day, not long ago, when your leaders and elders decided to open up the doors finally – sick of living buried, but also full of hope for the potential of the new world. That hope was cut short with rusty blades through your family's necks. Later on, you discovered the killers were members of a human trafficking organization who called themselves 'the Black Death'. But at that moment they were just like walking nightmares, coming from the sun-scorched exterior to kill everyone you had known and loved for your whole life. Somehow, you managed to flee and survive and were nurtured back to health in a nearby settlement. But nothing comes for free in this new world, and you'll have to earn your due…

Dust to the End is a post-apocalyptic strategy RPG developed by Haojoy Game and Zjoy Game and published by 2P Games. Released on Steam in 2021, the game combines several gameplay systems—trading simulation, turn-based combat, caravan management, and open-world exploration—into a single survival-focused experience set in a devastated wasteland. Rather than following the structure of a typical role-playing game that emphasizes combat and character progression, the title centers heavily on economics and survival logistics. Players must build a trading caravan, travel across dangerous desert territories, and navigate a fractured world where resources are scarce and every decision can have serious consequences. The game takes place in a bleak future following a global nuclear war that has destroyed most modern civilization. Humanity survives in scattered settlements across an enormous desert wasteland where law and order have largely collapsed. The player begins as a young survivor who grew up in an underground shelter, isolated from the outside world. When raiders attack the shelter and enslave many of its inhabitants, the protagonist escapes into the hostile wasteland and is eventual…3 found this helpful
6/10. Excessively grindy, with gameplay that came out 20 years too late. This game would have done well in a previous era, when your parents only bought you a few games a year if any, and the games had to last. That was also a time when simply being able to play as a character was enough to immerse you. But this is the internet era. Simply playing as a post-apocalypse merchant doesn't mean much if the gameplay itself is dull. Let's start with the combat. It's standard turn-based, non-maneuvering combat where both sides just stand there and trade damage. That, in and of itself, can be fine if the attacks are fun/varied. But they're not. Everything that isn't "basic attack" consumes SP charge, and that takes a while to build up, and when the "special" move hits, it's very basic stuff. Even the tournament prize weapons or boss-fight reward weapons are the same. So fights are basically a bunch of basic attacks, and a few slightly less basica attacks interspersed between. Even Poke'mon had a 4 move roster with dozens of moves per Poke'mon and that game came out in friggin 1996. The merchanting is nothing special. Goods are produced cheaply in some places, and sold for good mark-up in…2 found this helpful
The game is just too unpolished to be recommended. It has such a good concept, some decent art, but that is where it ends. The interface has flaws throughout, and so much of what you do is micromanaging water and food between sites, and the lack of water is absolutely punishing. Combat is extremely basic and lacks depth with lackluster flash style animations. I don't even normally take the time to write reviews, but I'm hoping to save some folks the trouble. Just pass on this one.2 found this helpful
Better buy Caravaneer 2. Same game concept but with more love into it.
Recommended when it is is on deep discount.... Its a good 8 to 12 hours experience and then afterwads it feels very copy and paste with very few additional mechanics . If they made it only 3 chapters long and then the other 3 chapters were optional 'end game' content it would have made more sense since it is so repeatitive.
