If you can get past the controls, which are done using a French AZERTY layout, it's OK. I zoomed out far on the edge of the map to collect the statues and interact with the buildings. The developer should research QWERTY layouts for a future game.

I like the concept, the controls make the game almost unplayable. WASD not QZSD is the way to control or at least give us a way to change it. Then I lost for no reason when all my supplies were over 50 and my happiness was 100%. I'll be back but it definitely needs a little work. I like the look of it though. Maybe decrease the size of the pop ups/GUI they take up a majority of the screen and the random shift to a blurry side perspective was irritating as well. The middle mouse button is the easiest way to maneuver the map for anyone trying it out.

"Dwarven Realm" (not to be confused with Dwarven RealmS) is a ripoff of Dwarf Fortress that somehow manages to be shallower, and yet more convuluted in terms of UI. Really grabbing the fail and abandoning the win. The graphics look nice because they're probably all asset flipped. The controls are a dogs breakfast and you can't customise them. The game graphics look better than you might expect, but that's just because it looks like some or all of them are "borrowed" from asset stores or wherever. Gamers can tell... and it comes across as insincere. There's also the old adage that those who lack the budget and talent to make their own game assets usually lack the budget and talent to do the rest of the job of game development properly, too. This is "free" enough, at least you won't be expected to spend any more money after you download this, but just because something is free doesn't mean it's good. Even though this is "free", it failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 5 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1…

I feel like this game had mostly downsides, The key controls are weird ZQSD to move, AE to rotate, There were no settings for keybinds, or sound. The game was spent mostly as an idle game rather than a city builder, and there's minimal things to do. Within the first 5 minutes it went from doing city building to just sitting around waiting endlessly for resources. If the game updates in the future I'd be down to give it another try but as it stands it was an overall boring experience

controls are atrocious, and keybinds can't be changed, don't even bother playing this junk
