About Dynacat
✦ AI summary
Race through vibrant 3D isometric stages as Dynacat, using acrobatic platforming, a magical tether grapple, and speed-running momentum to battle an invading robot army and reclaim stolen energy crystals. Master multiple stage types with branching paths and optional challenges, face off against boss Spherons, and unlock time-attack special stages—all across three difficulty modes tailored to your skill level.
Story
Dynacat's home has been invaded by an army of robots who are draining energy from the land and storing it in the form of magic crystals. Follow Dynacat on an adventure to fight back against the robots and protect the land from withering.
Gameplay
Dynacat is a fast-paced 3D platforming game with an isometric perspective. Speed through stages by using platforms, springs and other stage elements to overcome obstacles. If you're going fast enough you can even run on walls!
Dynacat's magic tether can attach to many things with a variety of different effects. Use the tether while in the air to quickly dash toward enemies and other targets.
Stages
Dynacat traverses three kinds of stages:
In Action Stages the main objective is to reach the goal by traversing an obstacle course. Each action stage has a variety of paths, some are faster, some have secrets and some will let you accomplish secondary objectives such as defeating a number of enemies or getting a certain amount of style points.
In Spheron Stages you must defeat the Spherons, the enemy leaders. Identify their weak points and skillfully traverse obstacles to reach them.
Unlock Special Stages by recovering enough crystals in an action stage. In these stages the goal is to collect a number of energy orbs and reach the goal within a time limit. Complete all the special stages for a special reward!
Game Modes
The game has three difficulty modes:
- On Normal difficulty, you can return to previously completed stages at any time.
- In Easy mode, you can traverse stages without taking damage.
- In Hard mode, stages are played in order and losing all lives will send you back to the beginning of the game.

One of the most aggressively poorly-controlling games I've ever played; so much so that I was driven to try recalibrating my gamepad within minutes of playing. In the tutorial alone, you're encouraged to 'not push anything' as Dynacat propels herself forward while in speed mode. Meanwhile, you're soaring past a wealth of collectibles which you fail to pick up simply because you're obeying the game's instructions. Attempting to pick them up by nudging the thumbstick will see Dynacat only occasionally move in the direction you want. Sometimes she darts off obediently. Other times, it's like an invisible finger is ramming the thumbstick in the opposite direction just to spite you. It's impossible to know what the game wants from you. Get into the game proper and it's an absolute sh*tshow as you start applying everything you *think* the tutorial taught you. You once again fail to pick up any items even as you snap the thumbstick in half trying to steer the sodding cat. You follow the (somewhat baffling) advice to not touch any buttons, only for Dynacat to hit a ramp at full speed and somehow tumble backwards down it. The isometric viewpoint obscures jumps and - as far as I can tell…8 found this helpful
i don't think it is worth full twelve but if six or bellow i would recommend, the isometric perspective is kinda clunky and simplifies the game but its very charming and simple fun. also please add achievements.3 found this helpful
Dynacat is an energetic 3D platformer that draws heavily from the legacy of speed-driven classics while experimenting with perspective and traversal in ways that set it apart from its inspirations. Developed and published by Replayne, it presents itself as a fast-moving, momentum-focused experience where precision and flow are just as important as reflexes. Beneath its colorful exterior lies a game that is ambitious in design, even if its execution does not always fully support its ideas. The core gameplay revolves around navigating isometric stages filled with platforms, hazards, enemies, and collectibles. Unlike traditional side-scrolling platformers, the angled perspective introduces a constant challenge in judging distance and positioning, which becomes especially noticeable at higher speeds. The game encourages players to maintain momentum, chaining movements together through jumps, springs, and environmental interactions. When everything aligns, the experience can feel fluid and satisfying, with each successful run delivering a sense of rhythm that rewards both familiarity and quick thinking. A defining feature of Dynacat is its tether-based mechanic, which allows the playe…2 found this helpful

If you ever played Sonic 3D Blast (aka Sonic 3D: Flickies' Island) and wished you could play a Sonic game like it that actually has the gameplay structure of a Sonic game, instead of it playing like an isometric adventure platformer version of the Flicky arcade game with Sonic in it, then you might want to play Dynacat.1 found this helpful
[SHORT] Think of it like "Isometric Super Monkey Ball-ish with jumps and grappling hooks". Most mechanics are very fun and very well planned. Unfortunately it's one of those games where it gets worse, primarily by the level design, the typical cons of Isometric game designs and even by some mechanics. Still, this is a fantastic game. (Also, the game was made by scratch!? (Not the block-based engine from the same name, I mean from zero) ) 4.3/5 - Improve the level design and mechanics. [LONG] At first I thought this was Sonic 3D Blast, but it's more like isometric Super Monkey Ball-ish with Jumps and grapple hooks (which could say it's the homing attack variant, but does more). Now I think the tutorial is poorly made. At first you'll find the controls confusing. It starts like an auto-runner and you'd think you'll need to steer left and right (like tank controls) to move the character, except left isn't working... But then you'll realize the controls are 'normal' and is introducing the Boost mechanic... Why not after moving our character normally? There's 3 important mechanics that makes Dynacat stand out: Boost and a magical grapple hook-like. Boost is like Sonic A…1 found this helpful
