About Earth 2160
Lead one of four factions—the Eurasian Dynasty, Lunar Corporation, rogue UCS machines, or awakened Aliens—in a real-time strategy battle for Mars survival with uniquely asymmetrical technologies and abilities. Command diverse armies across single-player campaigns, skirmish modes, and multiplayer matches on terrain that dynamically reshapes the battlefield.
The UCS (United Civilized States) machines evolved from the UCS battle machines. During the long flight to Mars, the computer decided to kill all human survivors and then initiated a plan to conquer the solar system with its own mechanical army. The Aliens - alien renegades were imprisoned a long ago, deep in the unknown history of Mars.
In 2160 the landing of the UCS ships awoke them from their long sleep...

Players can choose between several different factions, each with their own units, technologies, and playstyles, and must manage their economy while building an army capable of defeating opposing forces. The game offers a fairly traditional RTS structure, but its futuristic setting and wide range of units give it a distinct identity. One of the strongest aspects of Earth 2160 is the amount of variety available during gameplay. The different factions provide noticeably different approaches to combat, while the large selection of units and technologies gives players plenty of options when developing their strategies. Keeps the wolves of boredom at bay for a few hours. Good gameplay, if somewhat routine.
It takes a little to get the controls, but it's full of action, a bit strategic and nicely explosive ;) It even runs under Linux Mint (22.3 Zena currently...)
