Lots of potential here, but unsure if they'll move past potential. I played solo, and this is clearly not intended to play solo. At the same time, I don't see the gameplay loop as one to keep a group entertained, as 90% of the game is resource gathering. Ship Combat - Ship combat in solo mode is neigh impossible. You have to have your ship near the enemy ship to bring back floating resources as they will generally not be in the 'loot balloon,' however, you have no way to connect the ships. Mounted guns do nothing, and the only real way to capture a ship is to board it and keep gliding back - Seriously, the 'recommended' way for ship combat now is to park your ship where it won't get blown up, beat it up, and wait for it to patrol back to your ship to take back 1 round of loot (you'll need 5-6 rounds per Corvette) - Multiplayer - I haven't tried it, but the sailing is slow, and there's not going to be much for other players to do besides light crafting and watching the pilot fly from island to island Melee combat - Clunky and uninspired. You still take damage while dodging, but all attacks are telegraphed, so all combat strats involve just slowly strafing around the enemies - Near…

Despite being in very early access the flight mechanics are already tons of fun. If you ever find yourself as the helmsman in multiplayer games you'll have fun with ships!

If you like beta testing early versions and airships, have I got a game for you.... For players that want a finished product, I'd suggest you get a free taste with the airship builder and wait a bit. Reviewed at V0.19 - This is VERY early access. You are donating to alpha/beta test. Once you get going, I found playing airship mechanic marine really fun -- smash, collect, build, explore, and whoops--I'm falling out of the sky to death, again. Then you hit the early content wall. I found this fun like playing the WoW beta and hitting level cap at 20. My hopes are high on Liftium for this one. There's some weird bugs that really stand out visually, but unless you're crashing, it's quite playable, until you hit the content limit. First steps: Smash some mobs, loot some chests for Hinges & Sprockets, then research crafting those before you use them. Build a Glider and Tools--then everything else. New player entry is a little sparse. There is very little hand holding yet. Tooltips and guides are confusing at times. If you play the survival/build games with gathering and building, this shouldn't be too hard to figure out. The Winch tooltips/info threw me - Harpoon…

Love the game. Realy relaxing. The only annoying part is the big resource carrying mechanisms. It really slows progress and sucks in general. I am still at the copper tier of blueprints though so i might have some more things to see. Either way, the game is good.
