It recreates the boardgame pretty well although the interface takes some practice learning how to do things.1 found this helpful
The UI for this is horrible. It is glitchy as hell. Just doing the tutorial is impossible as half the text is hidden under an image. It does not explain things well at all. Do not buy this.
My highest recommendation. Any number of players (2-6) makes for a good game. Supreme replayability due to the randomness of technology availability and system exploration. The ultimate space 4X game. NOTE: If the game doesn't let you populate planets in a system you conquered, it's not a bug -- you had no more colony ships available.
Constant crashes and it doesnt do the boardgame justice. Boardgame is way more fun.
If you haven't played Eclipse do yourself a favour and get this game. It is one of the most engaging boardgames ever made, and it's even more enjoyable on PC. And please don't torture yourself with the Tabletop simulator. While this version does have minor bugs, it still a far smoother and enjoyable experience than the TS jank.
As much as the game has own glitches, it's playable and allows you to practice strategies for the real games. Sometimes, after the crash the game can't 'resume'. What helped me to 'resume the tutorial' first, and after the resume for the game worked well.
