Effigy : The Descent

This was incredibly enjoyable. Loved the atmosphere, the sense of dread, an overarching feeling of tension and danger, it nailed a the feeling of being truly alone deep underground in a cave system man was not meant to visit. Nice atmosphere, simple to play/understand. I love the Super Mario Ghost mechanics applied to a properly creepy atmosphere, with a darkness-only-message twist. All in all, a really fun game - I made it through 1/2 a run (3/6) in under 15 minutes, and I'm looking forward to pick it back up soon.

Neat little game with a spooky look to it, probably particularly fun for the Doctor Who fans among us. Pretty simple set-up but it's randomised each time.

First of all, I REALLY enjoyed this game. It is a really nice, creepy, stressful horror game. The visions are a really nice touch and the statues were great! The problem is that it crashed in the middle of my first playthrough with a fatal error. Then when I recorded the game and looked at my recording, it's lagging A LOT. It would be nice to be able to adjust the graphics etc. (i dont have a bad comp AMD Ryzen 7 3700X 8-Core CPU NVIDIA Geforce RTX 3070 GPU RAM 32GB) Otherwise, the game was good, it stressed me out, i like that! Would've linked to a video but it's useless because of the lag unfortunately.
