About Elemental Exiles
Follow a cast of unique characters in this Deck Building Roguelike, expanding your arsenal of abilities to overcome any challenges that stand in the way of your chosen hero's personal quest as you explore the world, adapting to new twists on every playthrough.

Play as one of 12 unique characters scattered across the map, each with a diverse deck of abilities at their disposal. Guide them carefully across the world to advance their own personal quest and help them achieve glory - or at least closure. 4 Characters are unlocked from the start, but there are 8 more hidden out there in the world for you to find, each with their own unique story to play through. Start your journey with one of these characters:

With each step your character takes, uncover more of the world around you. Watch the vibrant landscape reveal itself as you journey forth, filling in an expansive map that persists across playthroughs, allowing you to revisit your favorite places, address unfinished business with new tactics or forge a new path entirely.

When you choose to play a particular card can be just as important as which card you play. Cards in Elemental Exiles have additional effects that only trigger when certain conditions are met - such as being the first card played on your turn, or being played immediately after another card of a specific element. Whether or not you manage to trigger these extra conditional effects can be the difference between victory and defeat, so be sure to keep possible synergies in mind when choosing new cards for your deck.

Most cards are attuned to one of three elements - Fire, Water or Nature. Each of these has a corresponding strength and weakness - for example, Fire actions are strong against Nature and weak against Water. Naturally certain enemies and bosses also favor a particular element, so while your Fire deck might crush a group of tree spirits while travelling through a forest, it's going to struggle against a hoard of angry water elementals you encounter while walking along the coast... Will you try to specialize in one element to increase synergy? Or will you favor a more balanced approach to reduce your potential weaknesses?

This is not the game you're looking for. The fact that the game didn't recieve any single update should tell you about the state of this game. It's bad, it's bland, it's badly balanced. From uninspired mechanics, to a dev that thinks his game is perfect, this game has nothing going for it. It's overpriced, and brings nothing of value. This game was absolutely not playtested, feedback given to the dev was just wasted time. I had cases that show clearly that the dev had not spent a single second thinking about his game mechanics. Edit : Two years, this point still stands. It was a dead game on release. Not a single patch. Half of the reviews exists because the dev just offered his game to anyone willing to play it, and you only have 15 reviews. My feedback topick from a year ago is still on the frontpage of the forum : that's not hard, game has like 5 topics total. Edit : Have you noticed how I'm the single review above 15 hours ? And how there's only one other review above 10 ? In two years ? Seriously, you'd better spend your money on a Slay The Spire clone. Go buy monster train 2 or banners of ruin of whatever you fancy, even knock on the coffin lid, a game that I though was te…12 found this helpful
A Card Game KING review
The game introduces a number of twists to the standard rogulike deckbuilder formula, and while some of them add to the fun, a lot detract from it. On the positive side, I really enjoyed the interrupt mechanic, which allows you to completely stop some powerful enemy attacks by hitting them enough times. This adds a fun tactical layer to the game and prevents turns where you draw all attack cards, when you really need to defend, to feel bad. Additionally, the game features a variety of heroes, each with a unique passive ability that influences how you play. Despite the positives the game feels it's trying to limit your fun. There are a number of new mechanics that make you weaker over the course of the game, not stronger. Beyond the challenge of maintaining your health, the numerous battles with meager rewards, and scaling enemies, the passive bonuses (similar to relics in Slay the Spire) only last for a few fights, making it impossible to build around them. All cards also have limited uses, so you may lose your best cards simply by using them. This makes it even harder to create a strong deck, and it’s not the only obstacle to deckbuilding. **Great visual style, unique card expiring upon use gimmick, elemental blocks/attacks/strength/weakness, dark and light alignments, and huge array of characters to play as. I thought I found a gem here.** Can't recommend now though.. The game doesn't utilize these to it's full potential. Here's the bad. -12 characters! Well.. not really. They all share the same card pool. All of them. The only difference is they have a unique buff, but the buff isn't game changing really. It's just like +1 water defense to water cards, or 2X gold on combat wins. -Light and Dark alignments! Sadly this doesn't effect events, nor are the alignments permanent. You can't go down a dark path or one of good and have altered events on the game map or requirements for special items/cards based on alignment. Nothing cool like that, it's literally just an extra effect that's only in battles upon card use; it changes how strong/weak a card or enemy is. It goes down every turn like a buff/debuff. -Elemental cards and plain cards. I did like this gimmick but it's half baked. For example, if you have a fire shield of 10, and get attacked by a normal attack of 5, you have 5 shield left. If you get attacked b…4 found this helpful
What a waste. Beautiful, slick UI and graphics. Great metagame framing. But the game itself is incredibly boring. You have three elements, and attack or block with those. Watch numbers go up and down. There doesn't seem to be much else here.4 found this helpful
Elemental Exiles is a fantastic RPG-driven adventure with card combat at its heart. The game offers a wide variety of play-styles via the character selection screen, as each hero begins their adventure with a different set of cards and a unique passive bonus. This game deserves praise and acknowledgement in the gaming space, you need to check this title out! I cannot wait to see how this game evolves over time!1 found this helpful
A really cool take on the genre! The card combinations are HUGE.
