RPG Maker strikes again! Elevator Ritual is one of hundreds of low effort retro-pixel RPG Maker asset/construction kit flips spamming the Steam catalog, made with the RPG Maker video game construction kit... in their own words, "Our easy to use tools are simple enough for a child." Like all RPG Maker "games", this is essentially a bunch of low quality/canned assets from RPG Maker coupled with a cringeworthy high school anime club fan fiction. Unlike most RPG Maker asset flips, the developer here couldn't work out how to create a JRPG using RPG Maker (the only thing it can do, and it's terrible at it). Instead there's a lame 2D "adventure" game where you wander around asset flipped tilesets while the developer tells you his fanfiction about his imaginary girlfriend. I suppose it should be no surprise that RPG Maker and sheer fanfiction cringe go together hand in hand. As with all RPG Maker games, the poor quality engine displays badly in fullscreen and doesn't have full HD support or any graphics tweaking options, making this unacceptable for any dedicated modern PC gamer. This one had promise in the beginning, but it quickly devolved into just BS mechanics and back and forth gameplay that you literally needed to use the guide to get through so you wouldn't have to wander aimlessly for HOURS to figure out what to do next. Terrible design. Needs work.

Elevator Ritual is a bad RPG Maker horror game which is sad because it actually does have some interesting ideas and potential, but let’s get into the story. A young maid named Naysilla works in a famous and extravagant Hotel or used to be unfortunately the hotel has seen better days do to accidents and just general problems, but after an incident in an elevator Naysilla discovers a note with instructions to something called the elevator ritual. But upon following the instructions the young lady is transported to an alternative version of the hotel one in disarray and populated by horrible monsters, now the young maid must discover away to escape and return home or be trapped there forever. So let’s talk about the likes, the story is half good, what I mean is when it started out I liked it, but when it got to the big twist it unfortunately just fell flat. The RPG Graphics are okay has a good use of colors and designs for a standard RPG Maker, the levels aka the hotel was good the hotel is quite interesting there are some things that are strange for a Hotel like having its own bakery and a clinic, but it does make the hotel interesting and all those areas have some nice designs.
