Pixel style horror-short-story! Pro: The story was a lil predictable, but still very enjoyable executed. Also the soundtrack and the voice-actress complemented each other very well. Con: It is rather short and linear - there could be more options to choose from, well actually, any options would have elevated the gaming experience a lil more. But overall, for the listed price (1,60€), absolutely worth a play-through. Esp if you dont feel like reading and would rather enjoy a cozy-horror game inbetween.1 found this helpful
This is a game you can complete in one sit-down, but the saying “short and sweet,” exists for a reason and this game is among those examples. Amelea Michaela Morrow does great as the computer A.I. Em-A-Li, voicing some well written lines. This game is linear and that’s fine. You get a good story out of it with well a done creepy and scary atmosphere, some questions that are not directly answered and even more horrifying if you think on them long enough. At the time of this review, it’s 1.99$ normally, 79 cents on sale. I think it’s worth it on the regular price for the story, voice acting and experience you get.
this is hardly even a game to be honest, you walk room to room and the only real gameplay is picking paths in the dark, and the story just was not doing it for me.
While playing this game i wrote notes on all the poor design choices: Why are we playing as Jeffery Epstein? Em-a-li diologe is too long and doesnt make any sence, topic bounces all over the place like talking to a schizophrenic Visuals are very bad Room is very small on the screen, incredibly hard to see whats happening Character often speaks for you, not very interactive Em-a-li speaks as if she is human tho she is visually a computer screen in the game Em-a-li seriously doesn't shut the f#ck up she is so insufferable Despite it being part of the narrative Em-a-li's audio and voice acting quality is very bad and her diologe is poorly written and usually doesnt make sence The game's way of make Em-a-li interesting is just by making her say cryptic stuff that makes no sense narratively Theres rarely ever choosable diologe options so the entire game feels like being Em-a-li's imaginary friend and just following her around and when she "talk to us" she just replies to things that aren't said in the game so i guess she reponding to the player themselves as if you were speaking outloud while playing the game but come on who is doing that?? Plot holes Why is every object in this hous…
Short, nice voice acting, story is okay but predictable. It's a nice little experience for a dollar or less.
