"Ember Point" must be a student project or a tech demo or something. It looks great but plays awful, and it's short. Yeah, it's n action-adventure game where the player, Gravitus, a disgraced defector, explores a desolate town facing mutated enemies. The player wields a pickaxe and a Wave Gun. The game focuses on combat and uncovering the past through the world, according to the developer... still feels more like a tech demo to me. What's the game about? I'm not sure if this is an asset flip, but it's one of those cases where the assets just look much better than the rest of the quality of the game... a glaring inconsistency. There's no evidence, but as always, the biggest problem with asset flips besides the plagiarism is the deplorably low quality of the other aspects of the game, and even if the game assets are genuinely created for the game, the quality of the rest of the game is indistinguishable from that of asset…

Ember Point is a short third-person action-horror game that combines a bleak science-fiction setting with close-quarters combat, shooting, exploration, and environmental storytelling. Developed and published by Team NovaStrike, the game was created by a team of eight undergraduate students from the NYU Game Center as a capstone project. That origin helps explain both its relatively modest scale and its willingness to experiment with an ambitious setting. Rather than trying to provide a sprawling campaign filled with complicated progression systems, Ember Point concentrates its efforts on establishing a dangerous post-apocalyptic world, giving the player a small but distinctive combat toolkit, and telling a focused story about humanity struggling with the consequences of a devastated Earth. The story takes place in 2075 after a catastrophic phenomenon known as The Overheating has made Earth increasingly hostile to human life. fun little demo

seems like a good game doesnt run well on deck, jumps between 10-40 fps and no resolution options so hud doesnt fit the screen otherwise, the game felt decent

short simple game. Loved it. the fighting is pretty basic right now but i hope they expand on this.

Pretty good and a quick boost of Adrenalin for a short game
