About Ember Point

A Combination of Melee and Shooting
Experience gruesome combat against different enemy types. Switch between a heavy-hitting pickaxe and the Wave Gun to juggle the unrelenting attacks.
An Over-Heated World
In 2075, most humans migrated to a distant planet as Earth succumbs to the effects of The Overheating. Radiation exposure then caused a disease called Gradual Hyperthermia (GH) that slowly wiped out the remaining survivors on Earth. GH caused hallucinations, unexplained rage, hyper-strength, and emanating heat. Once it reaches its ember point, the survivors, once human, will become monstrous creatures simply waiting for its demise.
Discover the Past
Play as Gravitus, an ex-soldier and now researcher tasked by Katani Industry to return to Earth. His mission is to explore the possible GH cures, but he crash lands in a desolate town. Explore the ghost town, face the mutated, monster-like heat vacuums, and find out what happened to the townspeople.

The only reason this game should be free is it's length. Otherwise this game is genuinely so fun I would pay money for a longer version of it. I hope the devs release a full game out of this. For being so simple it's very fun. I honestly think if the game was a handful of hours long and had a skill tree and some upgrade options, maybe a more fleshed out combo system, I'd be willing to shell out for this. It's a great concept and the game is surprisingly fun. Seriously, I have high hopes for this if the devs release a full game out of this. Thank you for your hard work on the game. The passion for it really shows. If I have ONE thing to add, outside of bosses I felt the finisher wasn't worth doing. Sure, it's a flashy animation and you're invincible during it, but if it gave you a little health or something it'd feel more worth it than just tapping light attack to finish them off instead. As it stands the boss is the only reason to use the finisher since it can be finished with a small chunk of health left to expedite things. So some health or some other kind of resource or bonus would be nice to reward use of the finisher. Other than that very basic thing, this game slaps, esp…3 found this helpful
"Ember Point" must be a student project or a tech demo or something. It looks great but plays awful, and it's short. Yeah, it's n action-adventure game where the player, Gravitus, a disgraced defector, explores a desolate town facing mutated enemies. The player wields a pickaxe and a Wave Gun. The game focuses on combat and uncovering the past through the world, according to the developer... still feels more like a tech demo to me. What's the game about? Ember Point is an action-adventure game where the player, Gravitus, a disgraced defector, explores a desolate town facing mutated enemies. The player wields a pickaxe and a Wave Gun. The game focuses on combat and uncovering the past through the world. I'm not sure if this is an asset flip, but it's one of those cases where the assets just look much better than the rest of the quality of the game... a glaring inconsistency. There's no evidence, but as always, the biggest problem with asset flips besides the plagiarism is the deplorably low quality of the other aspects of the game, and even if the game assets are genuinely created for the game, the quality of the rest of the game is indistinguishable from that of asset…2 found this helpful
fun little demo
seems like a good game doesnt run well on deck, jumps between 10-40 fps and no resolution options so hud doesnt fit the screen otherwise, the game felt decent
short simple game. Loved it. the fighting is pretty basic right now but i hope they expand on this.
