I started my journey with Embervale in February 2025, when the game still seemed to show a certain amount of potential. The idea of a browser-based game that you could play with a community through Twitch seemed very innovative. During the first few weeks, it really seemed like this was a project worth investing my time in. Unfortunately, I was wrong. From the very beginning, the game was incredibly expensive for anyone who wanted to stream it on Twitch. Despite the developers relying on Twitch exposure to promote their game, there was no meaningful support for dedicated streamers who were, in reality, helping to keep the game alive. The idea of charging streamers was very misguided. On top of that, the gameplay is extremely tedious, as is running adventures, which unfortunately requires you to depend on other players. Very often, a streamer is simply at the mercy of whether a viewer joining the adventure has any respect for their work and time. Unfortunately, the community largely does not align with the game's intended design. It's designed as a social game to play with your Twitch community NOT a single player game.

Wish I could get my money back spent on this game. Gacha "free-to-play" with fake load screens and egregious cooldowns that cost in-game "freemium" currency to skip or shorten. Can watch ads on the android app and/or their website IF you're lucky enought to get them and not the malware redirection "ads" instead. The solo dev has all but confirmed he's done actively developing the game and isn't releasing any more content. Game costs about the equivalent to a WoW sub to play with the bare livable "bundle" with the best bundle costing about as much as a AAA game (per month). The struggle of playing this as free-to-play is absolutely not worth it. Pros: the community can be fun, helpful, and friendly. I made some friends that I expect i will know for years to come. If you're an adventure host, you're pretty much guaranteed twitch affiliate if you play this game regularly. Cons: literally everything else. Low effort AI garbage with practically no end-game, forced loadscreens and egregious cooldowns only remedied by paying WoW sub to AAA game prices. Interesting streaming game played as a team. You can build up some stuff while you waiting for an adventure to start then during the adventure vote on choices to make then split the loot at the end.

Very fun game for streamer on Twitch.

Fun little game that is F2P. Great community. You can either host an adventure via Twitch streaming or join an adventure as a viewer.
