About Ends

A Highway Gothic Horror.

Your bus was late and now you can't catch your next bus home. It's 11:08 and you're going to want to be home by midnight. You'll need to walk the next couple of miles... alone... at night.

Ends is the most literal version of a "walking simulator," but there's a lot more in store than that implies. Walk through surreal suburban sprawl as the world warps through your repeated journeys. All the while, the enigmatic forces of the past close in and attempt to halt your progress. You can only rest when you make it home, so... will you?

Maybe I'm just filtered, I don't know, but it's just not very good. It's a walking simulator with jump scares. From what I gather, you have to keep answering surveys on your phone to stay alive (?), but cars will randomly swerve to kill you. Sometimes, if you look slightly to the sides, a monster will kill you from behind. I have no idea what triggers either of these events, but they are very hard to avoid, to the point where it feels like the game arbitrarily triggers them just to make you die and reset you. When you die, you get reset back to the start (or the halfway point, if you have the patience to go that far). Then you get to hold W and SHIFT for another 15 minutes and pray you don't get randomly killed again, while doing literally nothing.

Very fun game and has pretty good replayability and good price tag. will say though a bug im having where an event causing the game to get REALLY dark is kind of making it hard to play though. if this isn't a bug PLEASE nerf that event cuz it makes the rest of the run nearly impossible because all u can see is your phone and i tiny bit of the road only if youre under a streetlight. if they fix that id say to get this game if you like horror.

There are a few random bugs. One of them literally got me stuck in the house rooms and I was just trapped there which PISSED ME OFF. I’m not even sure if this counts as a bug, but after you get halfway through, the whole game just gets dark like the street lights aren't even on And then I died because the pause menu doesn’t actually pause the game which makes zero sense since it’s singleplayer. Also when the lights first turned red, I kept dying to this creature It wasn’t the monster that shows up behind you So I have no idea what that was. Not sure if it was like a glitch or a weird monster but yeah no clue, but I’m guessing it was a bug because all it took was a simple quit and replay tactic. The game is kinda easy though at least for me. You can dodge the cars that try to run you over pretty easily except in the beginning which you just die like your character just looks at the car standing still. If you like walking simulators, you will "probably" like this. And if you can deal with some bugs, its still playable. For me it was not terrible. 6/10. It’s Just okay. Also I'm not even sure if its required for you to Answer these surveys on the phone.
