Edit: Changed this review to a positive after near instant feedback from the dev. With the crashing fixed, the experience is way more fluid and my complaints about slow gameplay was mostly being ignorant to mechanics, and why it might be beneficial to have a few different dice staging areas. I had a great time losing two hours of my life this morning(and clearing my first run). The dice system is really cool the further you play and start to understand mechanics. Solid game and I hope to see more in the future! ---------------------------------------------------- Old Review: The game soft locks far too often. I have just under 3 hours of play time and I have soft locked at least 10 times. This normally occurs during transition phases when you choose a node on the map. However, I just had a really good boss fight soft lock after defeating the boss. I can't justify giving a positive review as this is not really a good experience. Additionally, gameplay is a bit slow. It would be nice if you could combo moves quicker, or not remove the die rolls out of the box, under the box, and then finally target or click to apply. I like the idea of the game and it is a shame, but I canno…1 found this helpful

A Slay the Spire-style roguelike, but you customize dice instead of a card deck. The battle UI maybe isn't the most intuitive at first, but you get the hang of it quickly. Then, in my opinion, it get's a little TOO easy for my taste, as I proceeded to beat all three acts in only my second ever run. There's something to it, though, and I think if they can rework the difficulty a little bit to be more of a challenge, they'll really have something on their hands! I played on Linux using GE-Proton 11-1, and experienced no issues in doing so.
This is the perfect "I have a 3 hour airport layover game" because if you start playing suddenly you'll hear your name on the intercom saying "get to the gate before we leave you behind". It has a very good feedback loop and the builds are all a lot of fun to use! My last run was poison and that might be my favorite, but I'll need to do another run to be sure. Good thing I missed my flight so I have all the time in the world!
Pretty rad game, great ambience to go with the feel of delving into the dungeon. Gives the feel of an old school game without the clunkiness. It's fun and challenging, the game isn't something you can beat by just choosing random dice, you have to try to build your dice in optimal ways so that you're getting your best rolls when you truly need them. Roguelike fans will enjoy.
I'm enjoying it, its fun and challenging and so far works well on Steam Deck. Check out my full review on my curator page.
