Erratum

First off, let me list off my many gripes with the controls and mechanics of this game. if you're going to port a mobile game to PC, please remove the giant touch screen controls from the game. Your main keys for moving are WASD or the D-pad on a controller, unless you expect me to use my mouse to play this game. I get the point of limiting our vision is to play into the dark and eeriness of the forest and library the main character explores, but for a puzzle game, not being able to examine the entire play area is a bad design decision. It's impossible for someone to get a feel for how to solve the puzzle if you drip-feed information to the player this way. I get that it's also an adventure game, but if you're going to also count the number of steps the player takes in order to solve a level, there is no point in obscuring parts of the level in the first place. To make matters worse, the player has to go out of their way to uncover parts of the level in order to see it grayed out in future runs. Why would you make the player take risks in a puzzle game where the only way to undo a mistake is to die and start the level over all the way from the beginning? Every mistake is potentiall…

[b]no undo[/b] is an absolute dealbreaker. not that [b]constant darkness and monsters chasing and killing you[/b] (in a turn-based fashion) were great 'design decisions' to begin with. [b]no settings in the main menu[/b], can't adjust audio or anything until the play button is clicked. separate music and sound sliders and an overall audio toggle, rebindable keyboard and gamepad controls, toggles for movement buttons and skip reset confirmation, sliders for grid opacity, sigil size and text speed. [b]fastest is still pretty slow and only clicking the arrow advances or shows the rest of the text[/b], bothering the huge textbox does nothing (space/enter also works). there are also stats, a list of collectibles and level select with [b]only one level unlocked at a time[/b], another terrible choice. the settings aren't too bad but because of gigantic flaws in design, for once I'm not gonna waste more time or characters on some subpar ♥♥♥♥. couldn't even if I wanted to because [b]the game breaks right at the end of the first conversation, have to alt+f4[/b]. no skip dialog option, had to click through the whole thing again, same result. my guess is the first and so far only patch broke…

The game can be amazing! Looks amazing if the mechanics are good, But at least people should be allowed to take a step back! I can't know what I need to do in a new stage and because there are enemies chasing you you have to keep moving but you don't know what the situation is next. It's a puzzle game! The player should be able to undo an action and not have to repeat the whole stage for every little mistake! And also be able to see the whole world. Especially in stages where the crystals don't regenerate! I need to be able to know in advance where I need them. Especially then the discovery of the secrets also depends on whether you are willing to repeat the stage if you go to the wrong place because there was nothing there.
